Custom three-capsule array: Produces clear, powerful, broadcast-quality sound for YouTube, game streaming, podcasting, Skype calls and music
Four pickup patterns: Cardioid, Omni, bidirectional, and stereo pickup patterns offer incredible flexibility, allowing you to record in ways that would normally require multiple microphones
Onboard audio controls: Studio controls for headphone volume, pattern selection, instant mute, and microphone gain put you in charge of every level of the recording and streaming process
Legendary Blue Broadcast sound: Makes the professional difference for recording, streaming and building your audience
Unique position able design: Adjust and pivot the microphone in relation to the sound source to optimize your sound quality
Plug 'N play on Mac and PC: Instantly start recording and streaming on Mac or PC
Pros: Amazing sound quality, incredible flexibility. This mic surprised even a professional sound engineer when he heard the recordings I was making with it. Multiple modes allow the mic to serve a wide array or purposes. VERY high quality construction, all metal - only plastic pieces are the dials and they seems well made, just like the rest of the microphone. Easy setup, just plug and play.
Cons: There was a small bit of metal wear on the stand, but it's hardly noticeable. The mic was picking up vibrations from external hard drives on my desk, more of a personal con, but speaks to the sensitivity of this amazing device. It is large, that's a con for some people - but with a universal screw mount you can easily mount this to an adjustable mic stand or arm (which I will be doing). Most people will want to pick up a pop/wind filter for this as well, it doesn't really have one built into it.
Overall Review: Quite possibly the best microphone available for the money. I did some voice-over work for video game compilations and our engineer (who does a lot of studio and pro work) couldn't believe my tracks were coming from a $150 mic I got on NewEgg. No problems getting it up and running seconds on Windows 8 64-bit. No compatibility or quality issues what-so-ever. Compared this to the Blue Snowball and for the money having all of the different recording modes and the solid desktop stand sold me on the Yeti. Absolutely would buy this mic 100 times over.

Everything I could have wanted2/26/2016 7:10:16 AM
Pros: This Mic is magnificent for a USB mic. Perfect for podcasts and you tube. It looks uber sexy. It has a mute button, 4 different recording modes, and a gain adjust all knobs right on the body of the microphone. I personally think its awesome. My cousin is a protools expert level audio engineer and he says its decent for the price. It is by no means meant to replace the microphone in an audio recording booth, but its convenient and easy to set up.
Cons: The mic tending to pick up vibrations on the desk. This is due to the medal body of the stand. A proper boom and shock mount would relieve those issues. I've had it for a week, but I really dig it.
Pros: I have seen many complaints (even one in the reviews) stating that the Yeti does not work with Windows 10. This is not true, and anyone with this issue should look up the solution online, or simply become educated. This Yeti is Plug-n-Play and installed with no issue or delay on Windows 10. It is a very powerful microphone that will pick up anything around it. This item also comes with a headphone jack and speakers that can be used as the default speakers for the PC, though the mic's speakers seem to be standard quality (not 5.1 or bass output for example).
Cons: The instruction booklet included does not explain at all how to adjust the Yeti's settings to not pick up background noise, what Gain should be set at, or how to set up the device in conjunction with other 5.1 surround speakers on the PC, leaving you to have to figure it out or look for a solution online.
Overall Review: Overall if you seek a good quality, good performance mic to start out on a professional dream or even for casual life, it is a good product to consider.

Crystal Clear quality!4/21/2010 11:02:15 AM
Pros: I never thought it would be this great. But it is! The microphone is BIG and HEAVY - and makes me feel authoritative when I talk into it due to its monstrous size. As for sound - WOW! I had no idea my voice sounded so good, but then again I've only ever recorded my voice using cheapo $20 mics too. And the fact all I have to do is plug this into a USB port is awesome. No drivers are included because none are needed. My system (Windows 7) immediately knew what it was and within a couple seconds it was ready to record.
Cons: The unit itself is rock solid and very well constructed. However, there is one little flaw that could be a BIG problem down the road... The volume control knob on the unit feels like it's made with cheap light plastic and feels like it could wobble a bit and potentially snap off. The other controls and buttons are pretty solid. But after some experimentation I'm of the opinion that after a little tweaking, the volume control will pretty much stay in one position unless I change environments when I record my voice.
Overall Review: I love that it also has a built in mute button. When I recorded my voice with sound activation on my software I could click the mute button and it would immediately stop recording on my computer. Very cool. Also, this is a condenser mic - the exact same type of mic that professional recording artists use in the studios except theirs are a lot more expensive, but the fundamental performance and quality of the mic itself is pretty much the same.
Pros: Great sound quality,
Good quality cable, thick wires like high end speaker cables,
Looks darn good! Nice glossy finish with chrome emblem,
Really nice stand, it is plastic but it high grade molding,
Screws on to standard mounts,
Plug and Play installation with Win 10
Cons: N/A
Overall Review: i purchased this microphone to use with Dragon voice software. I am a quadriplegic with impaired speech. My brother mounted it for me and plugged it in, I adjusted the device settings, and it was ready to go.
I am running Dragon 12.5 under Windows 10 on an older AMD based system but it has a MSI 790FX-GD70 which has better audio than my newer ASUS 990FX system. Even with my "less than natural" voice it only took about 30 hours to work my old computer entirely with my voice.
I use the microphone positioned about 3" from my mouth. The performance is consistent regardless of the ambient noise. My computer sits less than 3' to my side and there is a fan on the floor right in front of me, neither one affects my use of the microphone. (the computer has 4 device fans and 4 case fans including 2 Cougar Vortex fans- it ain't quiet, the fan on the floor is set to high when it's on)
This microphone is 103mm dia. and 480g, to you peeps not up to speed yet, that is about 4" and a touch over 1lb..
I am thrilled with how well this microphone works and love the way it looks, I hope the additional info I provided helps give some real world context to good this thing really is.
If this microphone works for me, it will work for anyone.

Good budget mic12/6/2018 9:16:30 PM
Pros: - Good recording quality
- Good value
- Good build quality
- The stand does its job of not tipping over easily
Cons: - Poor range, don't expect richness of voice if youre more than 12 inches away
- The red LED light stays on even when mic is muted/disabled & when the PC is off. It's kinda menacing, "I'm afraid I cant do that Dave"
- There is no on/off switch on the mic, and total lack of software, youre gonna have to rig a hotkey yourself if you want to be able to mute on the fly, i used MicMute
- the USB cable looks tacky, a glittery silver
- the stand doesn't look as good as the mic itself
Overall Review: -the Snowball iCE does not allow you to change settings, it has the 1 cardioid mic. the regular Snowball is the one that has 3 settings and 3 mics
- if you don't have much room on your desk/table, get something smaller
Pros: Pros:
-Blue Snowball iCE microphone has great sound quality for one person. I personally use my Snowball iCE for twitch streaming and have found that setting the microphone near my mouth is the best way to get great sound.
-I did not need to download any drivers for this microphone to work. It works with every application I have used.
Cons: Cons:
-The Snowball iCE has a very cheap stand that when twisted into the microphone makes an awful screeching noise like nails on a chalkboard. The legs on the stand feel like they will snap at any moment. There is no height adjustment at all.
-The glossy finish on this microphone makes it look like a toy.
-Microphone picks up any vibrations through a desk or even from me walking away from my desk.
Overall Review: Overall this is a great microphone for a budget. I would recommend buying the normal Blue Snowball and not the ice because of the better stand and different microphone settings on the back of it.
Pros: Super easy setup, and lots of options to use the mic in any setting. Super solid feeling mic. Very sturdy build quality, and is a massive mic.
Cons: Over the years, the metallic coating on the base is beginning to rub down, but really its just cosmetic. This thing is solid. The Mute button can be a little touchy in terms of responsiveness but overall works fine. Again this is being really picky. Overall love the mic.
Overall Review: Love it, I always get questions on what mic I am using because it is so clear. No need for what I do to go get any mega expensive mic, this one knocks most of the competition on its rear.
