Pros: This is very light and fast, running applications a little bit warm except games, works with old pro 3 accessories, compliment to newegg's fast shipping even I chose the cheapest way ; )
Cons: Not a tablet as it claims to be, the apps are limited and not really great
Overall Review: The CPU for pro 4 i5 had the same benchmark as of it used by pro 3 i7, however it is a little better since it comes with higher base frequency, the GPU is totally different story, pro 4 i5 is 50% faster than pro 3 i7 (after you unlock the one pro 3), I'd say if you get this pro 4 i5 if you use graphic applications or play games even it costs $150 more, otherwise get the pro 3 i7
Pros: -Extremely fast startup
-Long battery life, especially on low brightness and with power-saving mode on.
-Completely silent unless it gets super-hot and actually has to turn on the fans, at which point it is still fairly quiet.
-No problems thus far that couldn't be fixed with a simple restart.
Cons: -Gets pretty warm under heavy stress, but it still doesn't take a hit to it's performance.
-When connecting to my TV, I have to make sure I restart the tablet first or one of two things happens: either the touchscreen stops working, or it won't recognize the TV as a sound playback device. Either way, a restart fixes the situation every time, but it's still annoying that I have to do it. Also, I usually have to plug in my display cord, unplug it, and plug it back in before it will actually recognize the TV as a secondary display.
-Only one USB port.
Overall Review: -DOES NOT COME WITH THE KEYBOARD COVER! Does, however, come with the surface pen.
-The micro SD slot is hard to find. It's tucked away underneath the kickstand on the right side, about an inch lower than the power port.
-The USB port on the charger is power-only even though the Surface Dock (sold separately) has 4 fully-functional USB ports and connects to the tablet via the exact same connection.
Pros: Has a quality feel not found in other devices within this genre. It may be thin but it is sturdy. And powerful. Runs Adobe Photoshop 14 and Lightroom 6 flawlessly. The back gets warm under load but the magnesium body dissipates the heat well and the cooling fans are effective while remaining quiet enough. Drawing and writing on this screen with the new pen is as fluid and effortless as a real pen and paper.
Cons: Nit-picky things really. Battery doesn't last as long as the sun. Not lighter than a stale breeze. Can't fold up into my pocket. Mini DisplayPort isn't as useful as HDMI in most cases. Maybe one more USB 3.0?
Overall Review: Nit-picks aside this is an absolutely brilliant device that you with not regret buying and I highly encourage you to if your in the market for one. Do the right thing though, buy the i7 and if you can the 16 GB of RAM so your future-proofed for the years ahead. This device is powerful enough to still be relevant in 4+ years time. As for screen protectors I can personally say the ZAGG Tempered Glass works without any interference with the sensitivity of the pen or screen. And if your like me and put a case on every thing, the Urban Armor Gear case comes highly recommended.
Pros: 2nd one I own. 1st was fine. Sold by different seller.
Cons: Has 2 accounts on it. Took it to Microsoft, they couldn't figure it out, but obviously had someone into it before we got it.
Overall Review: If advertised as new, should be new and not opened with fingerprints on screen.
Overall Review: I ordered 2 of these in "New" condition. A few days after my order was accepted I was contacted by the distributor, he informed me they only had one in "New" condition and the 2nd they could supply was in "New - Open Box" condition (they also offered a 5-year extended warranty on the open box one). I accepted these conditions. Now I received my order and there is minor damage on both which tells me that neither of these were shipped in "New" condition. Also, I did not receive the Surface Pen, Quick Start Guide, Safety and warranty documents for either unit, which are listed in the Package Content.
Pros: I bought this almost a year ago and I still love it! I use it not only for school, but for so many other tasks. I recommend getting the keyboard with it along with a padded cover.
Cons: nothing at this time.
Overall Review: I would recommend this to anyone wanting the convenience of a tablet, but also wants a computer they can use full time.
Pros: + The overall feel for this tablet is pretty nice. It's weighted in a way that it doesn't feel like I'm lifting weights but it's certainly not flimsy.
+ The surface pen that comes with it is easy to use, works seamlessly with Photoshop
+ Really fast. It boots up within seconds if there aren't updates to install, even then the boot speed is superb.
+ Resolution is way better than most laptops that are purchased at this price point.
Cons: - The kickstand is nice, but it can be difficult to use at times when moving from tablet mode to laptop mode.
Overall Review: I have had this tablet for quite some time now and it is great. I love it. Totally worth the money spent.
Pros: Everything I wanted...now I just have to learn Windows again (Mac Convert.)
Price dropped the week after...not sure it was guaranteed.
Cons: DO order a case and/or keyboard at the same time. Windows has issues bringing up a keyboard on many programs so you'll need something. Luckily, "old school" keyboards can plug in and the "laptop keyboard cover" does a pretty impressive impression of a laptop track pad.
Overall Review: Already VERY happy with how well this seems to work with Digital Art and programs like Sketch and Fire Alpaca.
