Keeps my 105 TDP CPU cool 12/9/2019 10:52:13 AM

Overall Review: Super small but somehow able to keep my Ryzen 7 2700x under 80c while gaming in a Node 202. Ran a few simple stress tests and still keeps it from throttling.

Great SFF cooler for Low Power CPU's 12/5/2019 8:56:22 AM

Pros: Inexpensive
Very easy to install (Default AMD clip mount system)
No-Interference design

Cons: The lever that locks the CPU cooler mount onto the default AMD clip mount system is fairly flimsy and seems like it will bend or break while locking down the cooler.

Overall Review: I installed 4 of these units on small light duty Architectural drafting workstations based around the Zen2 Ryzen 3400G APU's. During normal use, the cooler remains fairly quiet, ramping up to a very noticeable level. Unlike many small diameter fans, the fan unit supplied with the unit maintains a fairly low pitch noise, even at high speeds which makes the noise much more acceptable, often going unnoticed in a busy office environment.

Couldn't be more disappointed. 11/1/2019 3:54:05 PM

Pros: None.

Cons: I recently purchased this HSF at NewEgg's e Bay store. I just installed this HSF for an AMD FX-6100 95W to replace the one that came with the CPU because it started to get rather loud, and couldn't be more disappointed. This HSF actually caused my CPU to run 30c HOTTER than the original one. It's completely useless.

Overall Review: This is the first product I have ever reviewed, and it serves as a precautionary measure for future potential buyers.

Manufacturer Response:
Please double check to make sure you have removed the plastic film on the bottom of the heatsink or that the fan is spinning when you power on the PC. The KR01 should not be running 30C hotter than a retail box CPU cooler under any circumstance when operated properly.

Blows air onto the motherboard! 3/27/2019 10:07:20 AM

Pros: Blows air onto the motherboard to circulate air among VRMs and nearest RAM socket. Also the M.2 card on the Asrock B450M Pro4 mainboard. Those components stayed at ambient temparture (30C/86F). Kept overclocked Athlon 200GE (3.85GHz) at 60C/140F under 100% load from Prime95. Covers 100% of processor surface area.

Cons: Fan cable is multicolored. Would prefer black cable and/or sleeve.

Overall Review: This cooler was a replacement for a budget version of a popular tower cooler that only covered 2/3 of surface area and couldn't prevent thermal shutdown with fan speed at 100% on overclocked processor. The SST-KR01 exceeded my expectations.

Fantastic performance for the size 2/7/2019 6:54:20 PM

Pros: - Excellent cooling performance.
- Fits small form factor cases like the Node 202.

Cons: - Fan is a bit loud before BIOS optimization, but that's entirely to be expected from such a small fan.

Overall Review: - It can actually be a bit challenging finding decent low profile coolers for the AM4 socket. Fortunately, this one did not disappoint. Definitely recommended for ITX builds. Can tame even 95 watt CPUs like the 1600X in a tiny package.

Excellent Cooler 1/5/2019 3:15:54 PM

Pros: The sweet:
1- Fan is ultra quiet: (4pin): 80mm *dual ball bearing
2- Heatsink is light with wide spaced aluminum fins
3- Copper heatpipes are large diameter
4- AMD OEM style latch
5- Works with up to 125w AMD CPUs
6- Cools better than an AMD OEM 95w Wraith cooler
7- Quick Premier processing & shipping
8- High quality Newegg packaging (cardboard box with lots of styrofoam peanuts cushioning; unlike Amazone's cheeep white plastic bagging with thin bubble wrap liner)

Cons: The sour:
1- No copper base
2- Not free :)
3- Only 2 copper heatpipes

Overall Review: This unit replaced an OEM AMD 95w Wraith cooler that had a loud fan with 2 copper heatpipes, copper base & large heavy heatsink. The Silverstone cooler is keeping my AMD AM3 Athlon II 450 x3 CPU approx. 7C cooler at idle. Also, during heavy loads the CPU does not go over 46C whereas using the 95w Wraith I saw temps as high as 58C.. I did not use the included CPU thermal grease; instead I used Arctic Silver Ceramique2. It is quiet, efficient & well worth the current price !
