Pros: --Excellent price (same specs on a surface pro would be 3x higher price) --BEAUTIFUL screen (2k, very bright, touch capability is there, but I find myself avoiding having to put a fingerprint on there) --Premium feel (you know how bead-blasted aluminum feels... really, really good) --LOUD speakers --Good battery --works out of the box -- not really the place to review the flip/type cover, but the matching accessories for this are DOPE (backlit keyboard, huge touchpad with excellent click-feel)
Cons: --Gets very hot while working or charging, and pretty hot even when just web browsing --More of a spec than a con, but just 1 USB Type-C port, and that's it. No other holes in the unibody haha only valid if you buy the type cover, but this thing has to be on a flat surface if you want to do any work on it. It get's too hot to hold in your lap (seriously), and the type cover is really unstable if it's not on a flat surface.
Overall Review: The SSD on this is too small to live on, and the single USB Type-C port makes me nervous because if it wears out, the whole device is getting thrown away. However, for the price this can't be beat. I took a chance on this for black friday, and I was not disappointed. This thing (min spec; Core M3) runs Word, PPT, etc. just fine, so it works for school. What you can't know from looking online is that this Matebook looks/feels like an Apple product, but better.People will be stunned that something this thin is running full windows.
Pros: I cannot believe that matebook is so slim but fast.
Cons: The keyboard is too tight and it takes me a while to get used to it
Pros: Thin, light, fast, fit for most common tasks. Good deal !
Cons: The interface can be rich.
Pros: The device is physically well found; the bezel is narrow, the screen is really nice, bright and well saturated. The feel is of a quality unit. The performance is more than adequate, the 2nd gen m5's are clearly superior to the first gen. Lots of RAM and storage, which is pleasantly un-tablet like. The accessories are attractive and came in a special bundle from Newegg Business, which is the ONLY way it should ship. The included MonitorManage utility is clever and useful, something I rarely say about OEM utilities. Even the included update utility is less an obnoxious advertisement than most. Also - UPDATES! Always a worry with a new mfg and device - is it going to be abandoned? Running the Fast Ring of Windows 10 right now with no issues. Interesting take a on a stylus with the included laser pointer/cat toy. Surprisingly good speakers with a Dolby control panel. Makes me want to look at the Huawei phones. Good PC standard disk performance, SATA not horrible Atom eMMC. Very attractive presentation, with positive comments from my users. Finally, the fingerprint sensor is among the two best I've ever used, along with the Lenovo X1 Tablet - clearly superior to everyone else's.
Cons: No LTE radio option - Lenovo and HP have it for the high-end tablets, the Surface Pro 4 doesn't either. No Windows 10 Pro - business devices, which this is priced to be, should have Pro. Docking block stinks, it won't charge when connected and it gets HOT. The keyboard is decent but the functionality as a stand is seriously broken - and the likelihood of 3rd party support is low. It's a 2-in-1 that you can't prop on your desk. No rear facing camera - is it really, then, a tablet? No SD card support. ONE USB Type-C port, that's it. With the poor showing of the dock, not a good sign to have to use a dongle for everything. A 2nd Type-C would be welcome. For a Core m5 to come in at a pricepoint like this, the value needs to be clear, and it is not in this iteration. The Newegg Business bundle was the only reason I felt comfortable buying a test example. Definitely worth testing.
Overall Review: LOTS of potential, I hope Huawei follows Microsoft's lead and keeps at it - I hope the 2nd gen gets the product line where it could be. I can't help but think a lot of smart people worked on this device, I'd like to see what else they can do. I'd also like to see what other products are out there from Huawei.
Pros: Good price, does everything i want it to, very light, insanely thin.
Cons: Battery life can be disappointing sometimes, it stutters sometimes even when it's not doing anything difficult.
Overall Review: The pen and keyboard work fantastically. Hand written notes, which is why i bought it, look amazing, feels even better than writing on paper.

Pros: Thin, Light, Great Display, Quiet (No fan), Responsive (mostly), Fast Fingerprint ID, Handsome Keyboard and Accessories.
Cons: Some quirky system locks, slow downs, keyboard disconnects and inability to render certain website elements. Battery life closer to 5-6 hours at 50% display brightness. Tablet and keyboard physical connection not very stable. Warranty process appears to be the worst I have experienced. Must return item and wait two weeks for replacement.
Overall Review: If it all worked together flawlessly, this could be a 5 star Windows tablet! BUT, this is now a diamond in the rough in terms of refinement, performance, support and warranty processes. I really wanted to rate this higher -- and it could be if not for some glaring gaps. At this premium price, Huawei needs to step up their game in a big way before they can compete as provider of higher end products. Service must be top notch and fast. Current warranty process is abysmal. Potential to be great but beware and be cautious for now.
