Pros: Works perfectly in a Dell Vostro 220 running Windows XP Pro SP3 connected to an HP4L. It's in the Device Manager as PCI Parallel Port LPT1 (I did have to change this from LPT3). There is no smoke and mirrors with this card. 1 additional plus is the DB25 connector is PC99 colored "burgundy", not "black" as in the picture.
Pros: Works as advertised. Using it to drive an old LaserJet 4 Plus printer - that still works like a champ - off a new Asus P6T WS Pro motherboard.

Pros: This PCI parallel I/O card with DB25 female connector comes with a small paper manual and driver CD disk. Installation was easy and it worked the first time. Ideal for newer motherboards with no provisions for older DB-25 printer cords. Requires PCI expansion slot.
Cons: The 8-page instruction manual measures just 4 X 6 inches and the print is small and difficult to read but covers a variety of operating systems including XP. You're going to need a magnifying glass to read this one.
Overall Review: Don't place this card in the bottom expansion slot because the frame of the metal case will restrict access of the DB-25 printer plug. Best to move it up one slot so there is plenty of room below the plug. Once the I/O card driver was installed, I had to run the home network wizard at each PC and then run the printer wizard on each PC. That did the trick.
Overall Review: Plugged it in to a PCI slot. Windows 7 Business Edition, 64 bit recognized it immediately. Plugged in my Laserjet 1100 print cable, Windows 7 identified the printer and automagically downloaded the driver. No hassles, no issues, printer now works fine.
Pros: Perfect. All the drivers, etc, were installed when I booted windows 7, and I was able to print with the laserjet 4200tn printer in my room right there and then.
Pros: Installing on Dell Vostro XP Pro SP2 was a breeze. Works like a charm.
Good instruction manual but needed reading glasses since the print is very small.
Cons: None found so far. Have had it 1 week.
Overall Review: Ordering and shipping through Newegg was really good. Informative email on product info received. Tracking option worked well. Product in my hands less than 24 hours.
Pros: 100% compatible with my new Dell Vostro and Windows XP Pro. It even comes with an back-plate adapter so you can convert this card from a regular pci to a Low Profile PCI!!
