StarTech 3 Port 2b 1a PCI Express 1394 FireWire Adapter Card

Pros: This works with firewire audio gear, Presonus Firebox. Nice card. Came with extra bracket for low profile. I use Studio One 2 DAW. Win7 64 installed with no driver install- windows took care of it. I put the driver in legacy mode as the win7 driver is known to cause trouble with audio gear (latency problems). Path: /control panel/device manager/1394 firewire card/properties... its on my other computer, so that's as far as to the path I remember. its on one of the tabs. Good luck!

Cons: its not really fire that makes it go.

Overall Review: yeah, its a trip, the sound heavy rain makes on the roof of my car.

Pros: Easy installation and works great.

Cons: When installing the 1394b drivers you get a warning that the drivers are not signed by Windows for XP. Installed on 32 bit OS. There do not appear to be any issues with functionality.

Overall Review: Not much to say. It works flawlessly!

Pros: It works, had ordered a SYBA card that crashed my computer comes with low profile adapter if needed comes with 1 a to b cable

Cons: Had to boot into SAFE mode to install card, computer would hang until I ran safe mode. (Win 10, Ryzen 1700, X370)

Overall Review: Product photo shows small floppy type power input, unit shipped is the newer version that has standard size power port. I Originally bought a SYBA card that I spent two months with a crashing computer until I discovered it was the firewire card that was my problems, this one works.

Pros: Driverless, and works in Mac OSx and PC.

Cons: None that I noticed.

Overall Review: Pricey.

Pros: plugs in and runs my my books just fine

Cons: have to make sure it doesn't get bumped or else it will disconnect cause it fits loosely

Pros: Card was exactly what I needed to connect my camcorder to my laptop. Newegg shipped the order very fast and was exactly what I ordered. I am ordering more products from Newegg as I type this.

Pros: Bought to transfer old DV tapes. Works well, Windows found the drivers cause I didn't have to do a thing.

Overall Review: If you need a firewire card this one works well.

Pros: Fits and works in windows 10 64bit with no issues at all.

Overall Review: Needed this to run a legacy 1394 Nikon Cool Scan that was 12 years old on a Dell XPS 7th gen Intel. This runs it on XP compatibility mode and the legacy Nikon software still sees the 1394 firewire port !
