Providing speeds up to 10x faster than that of USB 2.0, this PCI Express USB 3.0 card enables you to access your data and transfer files much faster than USB 2.0, by adding two USB 3.0 ports to your PCI Express capable PC.
Featuring a native NEC PCI Express host controller chipset, the new USB 3.0 standard supports transfer rates of up to 5Gbps, while still providing connectivity and support for the older USB 2.0 (480Mbps) and 1.1 (12Mbps) devices.
In addition to providing a much faster transfer rate the PEXUSB3S2 USB 3.0 card also supplies 900mA of power per USB port, allowing more and more external devices to operate without the need of an additional power source.
Add USB 3.0 Port to Your ComputerThe StarTech PEXUSB3S2 USB 3.0 card is designed to add two USB 3.0 ports to any PCIe-enabled computer, providing blistering fast connection of up to 5Gbps to the next generation peripherals.
PCIe x1 InterfaceThe StarTech PEXUSB3S2 USB 3.0 card utilizes PCIe x1 interface to provide adequate bandwidth and reduce bottleneck for best possible performance.
Dual BracketLow profile expansion bracket is included to replace the full-height expansion bracket required on some computer models.

Pros: Easy to install and load drivers (Win7 64bit). Solid USB 3.0 and 2.0 speeds.
Cons: Notta. *Just remember if you use a usb extension cable to hook a up a USB3 device, you need a USB 3 CABLE!!! If you use an old cable like I tried, you'll be stuck with USB 2.0 speeds. There is a difference :)
Overall Review: Forget about startech's website for drivers. They are stuck at NECEL-USB3-Host-Driver-10170. Google for NECEL-USB3-Host-Driver-10200, thats the latest and greatest I've found to date. Trying to get them straight from NEC is a joke; another case of big company can't find nothing on website.
