does this work for cloning hard drives?

It works just fine for cloning SATA drives. It does not work with conventional hard drives at all since they would require a separate power connection and that won't work with this harness. Strickly for SSD drives.

Will the USB31CSAT3CB work with a 3.5 " Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 750 GB hard drive; since the description states 2.5" SATA Drive?

No, the 3.5" drives are not bus powered. You would need a separate power source for it, and that would not fit with this harness.

The pictures on the description are wrong.. when they zoom in they show a network cat5/6 cable. Will you please correct it ?

I don't work for Newegg or StarTech, so I can't replace the picture. I can confirm it is the wrong picture. The 2nd picture is what the adapter looks like.
