Pros: Works well on Windows Server 2008 R2 (even as a Fax Server), inexpensive, no need to open computer as with a fax card installation.
Cons: My only issue was that it was advertised as working with Win7 and Win Server 2008 R2, but the install process doesn't offer either as a choice and the instructions don't tell you how to do it. I ignored the documented install process and went into the install CD and executed setup here: "..\Windows7\x64\setup.exe". This worked well and I had the fax working in short order. In another 10 minutes, I had it also running as a Fax Server for the other PC's on my little network.
Overall Review: The only real problem I experienced is not the fault of the Fax Modem, but worth mentioning. It seemed to be sending faxes when the other end hadn't even answered the call! I struggled with this for hours until finally realizing that a traditional fax machine (Brother MFC-7840 "All in One") was also on that same phone line in another room, and it had a feature that would "auto-answer" if it saw an extension go "off hook". So, every outbound fax was actually being received by that machine! I was able to change the settings on the Brother to "Receive Mode: Manual" (this option might not have been needed) and "Easy Receive: Off" (this was necessary). Now, all is perfect.
