Pros: Good fans. Move a lot of air. Maybe a little noisy but they are for a server...
Cons: I had to knock down the eggs as it is advertised as C32 Socket compatible (which it is). In order to make it work you have to order the mounting bracket separately (Part # BKT-0048L-C32). NewEgg doesn't carry this part last I checked so I had to search online for it.
Overall Review: I'm glad I was able to make it work but a little upset it added 3 days to get the bracket in that was needed. Hopefully this helps a future purchaser save some time and headache.
Pros: Easy install
Fan moves a TON of air
Fan (60mm) was surprisingly easy to replace
Cons: Fan is super, super loud, but hey, it's a server cooler. I'm just using these in a home server application, so I replaced the stock fan (~0.5A) with a 60mm Noctua (~0.15A) which moves considerably less air, but is much, much quieter.
Overall Review: I used a pair of needle nose pliers to push out the four black pins that lock the fan to the mounting bracket. The bracket is mounted with 2 phillips screws.
Pros: - Keeps 2620v4 cool, granted its not a hot CPU
- Fits under the air shroud perfectly in a 4U Supermicro chassis!
Cons: - No cons to speak of
Overall Review: Was hoping it would fit under the air shroud and it did! Great part. If you're building a Supermicro server, do yourself a favor and stick to their chassis, board and necessary parts like this one. You'll thank yourself.
Pros: Low profile and compact design. I have now almost 40-50 of these in production environment. Not one has failed yet.
Cons: Can't think of any.
Overall Review: I can't comment on noise as all my machines are in data center. It's too loud for me to notice anything :)
Pros: Fan fits perfectly in my 2u chassis. Keeps the CPU very cool.
Cons: It's not quiet, but that comes with the territory. I keep in my basement with my other servers. No problem for me.
Overall Review: The seller was great shipped it to me faster than Newegg!
Pros: Fit perfectly in a Supermicro 2u chasis with a supermicro motherboard which is what it was made for. Extremely easy to install.
These Xeon cpu's stay COLD. :)
Cons: Loud at highest rpm! But what rack mount server that is cooled decently isn't?
Pros: Great fan for E5-16xx/26xx CPUs that is well-suite for 4U servers.
Cons: 38dB is a bit too noisy for high-end workstations. A better solution for that environment would be the Be Quiet CPU cooling link.
-'Idles" at a reasonable sound level
-Arrived in pristine condition (purchased from mike's computer shop)
Cons: -CAN be very loud
Overall Review: Did what I wanted... And did it without a hitch.
