Pros: Powered off computer, inserted the card, powered on computer, plugged in USB-3 GoFlex hard drive, that is it. It took 2 minutes 40 seconds. Works fine under 3.3.0-rc7 and 3.0.3 kernels. No, drivers, no customization is needed. Heard that old 2.6.x kernels did not support EJ168 chipset. Check your kernel (uname -a) and upgrade if your kernel is too old. Speed test of GoFlex hard drive connected via usb-3.0: 1) hdparm -t /dev/sdX: 125 Mbytes/s; 2) dd if=/dev/zero of=/xxx/test.dat ibs=1024M count=4 conv=fdatasync: 112 Mbytes/s. This means the card's speed is no worse than 125 Mbytes/s.
Cons: lspci does not report explicitlu which chipset is used. It tells only "USB Controller: Device 1b6f:7023 (rev 01)"
