Pros: Once I got the product working, it is smooth sailing. Happy to IR sync my Pocket PC, then use WiFi. Also to sync my IR Nokia 6340i.
Cons: Just installing the software from the OEM CD wasn't enough to help ActiveSync see it as a "virtual com" port. Go to Manufacturer's site http://www.syba.com/product/42/01/05/index.html for the product. Click the download tab and download "Moschip MCS7780 driver set v1.0.0.10 for Windows 98 / 98SE / Me / 2000/XP" for model "SD-IRU1F-M1". Next, extract the files in the zip and open folder "MCS7780_Ver 1.0.0.10 Driver" and run "IRSetup.exe". After the install, attach your new USB-IRDA bridge adapter and follow directions. This allowed Active Sync to see IR as a virtual com
