Pros: It worked the first time I plugged it in. I used a 650 GB spinning drive I had left over from a dead laptop and Disk Mgmt in Windows 10 initialized it with no problems.

The price was right since you get two cases.

Cons: As others have said, the plastic tray feels flimsy and it is a little awkward to squeeze both tabs simultaneously to extract the caddy. But what concerns me most is the loosey-goosey feel of the connector to the case, which is why I can't rate it 5 stars. I don't think this connector could stand up to constant plugging and unplugging for very long, so I intend to leave the cable plugged into the case when the drive is not connected to my PC for backups.

Overall Review: But... some will say what do you expect for five bucks. I just wish some company would make a case of this type that is built like a tank. I'd buy it even if it cost five times as much as this case.

Overall Review: I bought one of these enclosures on sale about a year ago, and I like it very much. My son and I each have an unused SSD. I had been waiting for these enclosures to go on sale again. I put my unused SSD inside and I get 200MB/s transfer rates. Perfect for transferring large, multi-gigabyte files between my laptop & desktop computers. The tool-less design makes it quick and easy to change drives. I do a lot of computer upgrades for clients, primarily replacing hard drives with SSD's. This enclosure makes it easy to clone the HD to the SSD. I put the new SSD into the enclosure, plug it into the computer, boot from a Macrium Reflect (free version) boot disk, and clone the HD to the SSD.

Pros: Exactly what is needed to enclose your SSD and use it as an external drive or backup or whatever you want it for. It is a professional way of doing things. It comes with the USB cord for easy hookup!

Overall Review: I will purchase these again as needed in the future. They are professional and easy to use with the enclosed USB cord. It also a very inexpensive way to convert any SSD drives to external drives. It is convenient, and useful for many applications just by attaching the cords and plugging it into a USB port. It is as easy as using a thumb drive.

Pros: The enclosure is well made, and very easy to open without tools and the my hard drive fits perfectly. The supplied cable also is well made and fits snugly. The activity light on the enclosure is bright and the enclosure hasn't gotten even warm with the Solid State Drive I have in it.

Overall Review: I am very pleased and highly recommend this enclosure.
