Pros: Very liquid sound, with smooth and warm mid-range. Clean and articulate, with concise but weighty bass. The highs are tapered off a bit, and non-fatiguing. Good instrument separation, and relatively spacious soundstage, especially for IEMs. Not as natural sounding as an open set of full-size headphones, but not bad by any means. Sound isolation is respectable (rated at 26db I think). The tips provided are quite comfortable and easy to fit, and often, I forget that they're there.

Cons: Cord is illogically short, which is why the extension cord is included. With the extension cord, weight is added and can get annoying at times as it may seem like they're falling out if walking around with them. Additionally, the microphonics can get irritating when walking around so the clip provided is necessary for portable use

Overall Review: Definitely 4.5-5/5 stars at the price point I got them at, though at the current price of $125, maybe a 4/5 because of the illogical cord design. Compares favorably to my old Etymotic ER6i. Unlike the previous review(s) complaining about the bass response, I think it's more than adequate. They aren't on the same level as those in the Beats by Dr. Dre, but those are terribly imbalanced and the bass bleeds into the mid-range. While some may like this presentation music, there is often a sacrifice of detail and clarity. Having listened to a handful of IEMs with considerable bass (Klipsch S4, Senn CX300, Sony MDR-EX Fontopia series), I prefer these for their more accurate and neutral representation of the music. Overall, these are quite versatile with any kind of music, and while they don't excel in any particular genre, they well-rounded.

Pros: Clean and concise sound, balanced in all ranges. Finer sound quality and more accurate sound reproduction, without coloring the sound, i.e. without artificially boosting the bass. These phones will do what they were designed to do very well.

Cons: Balanced armature drivers have less bass impact than dynamic drivers, but much greater clarity and control. This is not a con. This is a matter of listening preference.

Overall Review: You can't fault a product for not having bloated amounts of bass when the product isn't designed for that. If you want to hear each individual plucking of a string bass, or each articulation on a tuba, you need a balanced armature driver to pick up those kinds of subtle details in the bass frequency. If you want heavy bass to listen to rock with a double kick bass drum, and you want to feel the impact from that, get an IEM with a dynamic driver. Don't rate this product low because you expect to use it for something it's not meant for. You wouldn't rate your vacuum cleaner two stars because it does a terrible job of mowing your lawn, and this is no different.

Pros: Well made and provided with an array of ear plugs in various materials and sizes. The 'short' cord is not really an issue, could be considered a feature, especially if you're using these with the Sansa Clip+, which can sit high up on a lapel or in a shirt pocket. The extension cord is fine if you need longer.

Cons: The previous reviewer is correct, these are very heavy on the mid range, and light on treble. The good news is, that can be fixed fairly easily with equalization, by bumping the What you get is a very smooth and detailed sound. ZERO sibilance and unwanted artifacts, you could listen to these for hours without any strain. 4k and 12k ranges up 3-4 dB. (Did this with Rockboxed Sansa Clip)

Overall Review: I usually don't like to pay big bucks for earphones as they break too easily. At list price, these would not be value, but if they go on sale for <$60 again, grab a pair.

Pros: I like the design, I don't feel the cords are too long or short, easy to distinguish left from right, no tangling, sound quality is better than standard or what would be considered 'good'. $44 with new egg promo.

Cons: The mids are way too much. Like the last TDK pair I owned, the shell surrounding the drivers is a hard thin plastic that may crack if you have an accident - I cracked my last pair, and I don't even know how, but I was able to glue it back together. I've never broken a pair of earbuds before. I am just pointing this out because this pair appears to have the same plastic hollow shell that surrounds the drivers.

Overall Review: If you don't have the ability to tweak the mids on your sound device, I doubt you will be able to get these to sound 'great'. Aside from being a software engineer, I produce my own music and have a sophisticated digital recording studio, so believe me when i say, these will only sound as good as the equipment they are used with. These are the 'Professional' line of TDK in ear products, and I did put quite a bit of effort to EQ the power amp player on my galaxy skyrocket in order to have the highs be crisp enough. The mids are insanely high and on a ten band EQ they (the mids) need to sit at least 2 clicks below flat, with the 1k to 4k range up slightly, and then way up on the 16k freq. Go easy on the bass as well (30hz - 125hz. All in all, if you have a good ear and patience, these can sound really good

Pros: Good sound quality, rounded basses, clean vocals, solidly build, good looking, great price, good noise cancelling

Cons: You have to be accurate with memory foam pieces.

Overall Review: For people who complain about basses - you have equalizer, right? You can always adjust bass or any other range to you own taste. Those can provide really punchy and rounded bass if you want to. Otherwise you can pay 3 times as much and buy headwoofers by Dre. For short cable - it becomes extremely handy if you wear suits or sportcoats. For 50$-70$ is complete steal.

Pros: I got these dirt cheap, 24.99, though not here. They sound great and make a great replacement for my old buds.

Cons: No volume controller
