Pros: It's a TI 84Plus, we all know what it does. Fits that high school need well, and almost all teachers and students know it well enough, so help is always available. Most students getting one for the first time have at least used or seen them so the learning curve is easier.
Cons: None really.
Overall Review: It has always bugged me that this line of technology does not advance like other lines. These calculators have changed little in price or design in years. I understand that manufactures will price to a sweet spot and most parents won't balk at 100-150 school tool, but the technology has not kept pace, even if it is just gingerbread. Power is not the problem, as if the need exists they do have more specialized calculators, but in a day when color touch screens and WIFI capability are available in even thermostats these still feel circa 1990. The USB connectability feels like a throwback to a bygone era. Don't get me wrong it all works fine but still keep it fresh. This looks and feels much like a TI 83 I had more than 10 years ago. At that time I also had a cell phone that only made phone calls.
Pros:
On the order page when I ordered that night it said 3 days UPS, instead the next morning I find it is Out for Delivery. Arrived that afternoon so kudos to both Newegg and UPS for acting fast even though I ordered late.
It works like a graphing calculator should, my old TI-83 had a line of dead pixels so seeing everything now on a graph is an improvement
Cons: The packaging was odd, as it looked like they took two pieces of construction paper and glued it together. Both the outside and Calculator packaging was pretty beat up as well, so I was nervous when I checking to see if the Calculator worked.
Overall Review:
It works so far and not a DOA so I am not going to deduct an egg.
Honestly I am still surprised they were this quick in shipping the Calculator, I guess College Students who need Graphing Calculators are a priority this time of year.
I tried different stores nearby to see if there was cheaper TI-84 Plus prices, but to no avail. Now seeing Newegg's, TI's, and UPS's speed in sending me this Calculator I'll be sure to look at Newegg again if I need another.

Overall Review: If this calculator came with a better description of how to use it, then it would be better. I've had the Silver version of this for about 6 months now and use it for college Algebra, Geometry and now Statistics. This calculator works great once you know what you're doing.
Pros: My math teacher forced me to buy this calculator, so I cannot say "no".
Cons: Don't know how to use this calculator.
Overall Review: My teacher said "Bring this calculator next week, or you're not allowed to attend my class".....

Overall Review: There was too many options and buttons that I didn't understand at first. Who am I kidding I still don't. I really wish that when I read the title of the calculator it would of said gaming instead of graphing because then I would of upgraded the calculators VGA and played CS.
