Very long lasting 4/29/2020 8:57:37 AM

Pros: - Bought this in 2013 and its still going strong
- No issues while on either 120v or 220v

Cons: - Shortish cables on full ATX builds
- Only 1 6pin VGA cable

Overall Review: This PSU has been running strong for 7 years and I have only now replaced it only due to its 6pin VGA and 430W output in my newest build.

Like the energizer bunny this psu is! Bought in 2009 for a new build, still going strong! 12/30/2018 3:57:40 PM

Pros: cheap and extremely long lasting. I'm building a new system now, the only thing I'm not replacing is this PSU.

Cons: no modular plugs

Overall Review: If this ever finally gives up the ghost, I will definitely purchase another.

Still going strong 24x7x365 since 2007 5/10/2018 12:31:53 PM

Pros: I bought this in 2007 to power a Windows based PC (NAS, Plex, iTunes etc), running 24x7x365. No issues, powering the mobo, 4 large fans, and 5HDDs. Only maintenance is vacuum / dust off once a year.

Cons: None

one bad out of 3 (died at 8 years old) 10/17/2017 3:20:06 PM

Pros: I bought 2 of these in 2009 one of them died this year 2017 which I guess you can't really ask much more but I still didn't like that it died on a customer. The other 2 one of which I bought this year no problems so far but I still think I might try another brand next time.

Cons: died after 8 years if you can call it a con...

Overall Review: didn't spark when it died like others I have experienced

Good Little PSU 10/5/2017 12:12:29 AM

Pros: 1. Well, its just a simple PSU really. Not much else to say.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Mine came with a dead fan so I just replaced it with another I had laying around. Took about 5 minutes. No biggie and not worth having to box it back up, get an RMA, ship it out, and wait for another. Just a quick easy fix. No product is perfect, I get it. I would still totally buy this same PSU again if I needed one which I will down the road for another small build or whatever.

Also, people keep complaining about not enough power and blah blah. These people who claim to have lots of knowledge about computer hardware need to go Google about rails and loads on those rails. Ya know, all that stuff you kinda MUST know when deciding which power supply to go with. Kinda scary people are out there building computers and don't understand the basic things about a power supply and the hardware they are hooking it up to :\ :\ :\ :\

I bought this for a simple HTPC build for my living room. I put my older i7 920, 16gb DDR3, Sabertooth x58 M/B, bought a cheap GeForce 8400 GS, and this power supply. The nice little PSU is perfect for it and does the job great.

Great power supply! 10/4/2017 1:47:16 PM

Pros: This power supply has plenty of plug ins for various internal components. I am just rebuilding a new computer and saw that I had been using this power supply for over six years on my current computer. Perhaps the most interesting thing to me is that my projected power needs were just under 400w and this 430w supply never skipped a beat. The power supply was easy to install and fit into my mid-tower case with plenty of room to spare. It is rare to find a power supply that doesn't cause issues at some point, but this thermaltake has been a beast for me. I have ran plenty of games on my computer and it handled all of the power needs my system had like a champ. I would highly recommend this power supply to anyone building a mid level system or lower.

Cons: Nothing.

says "6 x Peripheral". lie, only 4 8/6/2017 8:16:44 PM

Pros: hmm.

Cons: was looking for power supply for an old computer with 6 4pin molex plugs.
specs on newegg says "6 x Peripheral" but that's a flat out lie. it only has 4.

i could of and would bought a different power supply if I only needed 4 molex.

What a dissappointment. 5/2/2017 10:49:19 AM

Pros: Quite quiet, barely notice it's running.

Cons: Spontaneous reboots & shutoffs after about 5 months.

Overall Review: I bought 5 of these for 5 new systems I built. These are the first Thermaltake power supplies I've purchased in several years. After 5 months in use two of the computers started to spontaneously reboot every couple of days. After another week two more started the same reboots. Finally the 5th unit just would shutdown randomly. I was tearing my hair out until I pulled an old 400W Antec out of one of the old computers and replaced one of these, that computer worked PERFECTLY for 3 days. So, I replaced the other 4 with whatever power supply I could scrounge. They ALL started working correctly. So, I contacted NewEgg and they referred me to Thermaltake since I was well outside their 90 day exchange. Thermaltake wanted an exorbitant sum to ship replacements prior to my returning the old ones. I ordered 5 new Antecs from NewEgg, installed them and shipped the Thermaltakes back. To their credit, Thermaltake sent a different model and did it QUICKLY (within a week of getting my RMA units). The new Thermaltakes still sit on a shelf since I'm scared to use them on any computer I need to rely on (all the computers I have). I think I'll stick with PC Power & Cooling or Antec from now on...
