Pros: Light Wintel tablet with just enough processing power to handle most daily-tasks. This tablet easily handles HD movies (MKV containers and MP4 files) and using standard Windows applications. Couch surfing is a breeze and quite enjoyable.
The battery life is excellent and unlike larger tablets it can be charged via USB (note that it requires 2 Amps of current, which many older - read airline - chargers don't provide).
The touchscreen is excellent and responsive, even when using the more classic Windows interface (i.e. not Metro).
Cons: Windows 8.1 while a huge step in the right direction compared to 8 is the biggest detractor for this tablet. Given this isn't Toshiba's fault, I can't subtract any eggs.
There is some minor flex in the screen and casing where the two meet at the edges of the device. Nothing major, but noticeable.
Overall Review: The fact that this has HDMI out was perhaps the single most important feature for me as I plan to use for traveling and can hook the tablet up to TVs.
Additionally I suggest anyone getting this tablet to also invest in a USB OTG cable adapter, as this will allow the use of full-size USB drives and other USB peripherals with their tablet.
Pros: A stable Windows 8 x86 tablet.
Micro USB charging port.
Fast boot times.
Cons: The tablet could use a bit more memory, slows down a bit when under a heavy load.
The touch screen can sometimes be a bit unresponsive, especially when bringing up the on-screen keyboard.
The Micro USB port is very finnicky about what cables will work.
Overall Review: Some people have purchased this tablet have had problems charging. This is usually due to needing a higher amp charger than the norm (around 2 amps, most chargers for phones have only 0.7 amps).
Just use the charger that comes with the unit.
Cons: not a lumia
cpu is a little weak
Pros: windows compatibility in a tablet.many options out there for attachments with usb converter.
Cons: internet shows these are pleuged with a stand by bug where you cant turn this on but it vibrates when you press the windpws button.
I recived my first one of these in the mail, box was damaged. it stopped working the very next day. i called deal fisherfor a rma and they replaced it. 100% recomend this seller.
i do not know if ill keep this one as it already displayed the common problium a day after i recived my first replacement.
Overall Review: i do like this tablet as it is intended for my work, the compatability with my projector , office etc is paramount. my linux isnt 100 perfect
Pros: Wife uses this in her home office, since her company doesn't allow additional software on their computers. It keeps her entertained with streamed music all day long. Works well with an additional 22 inch 1080 monitor, blue tooth keyboard, and bluetooth mouse. Never thought about it before, but love the way it stays on for hours if the power grid goes down. Everything still operates the same as day purchased.
Cons: Sometimes has difficulty communicating with the home wi-fi, but I believe it is the fault of the home wi-fi. Would be much more difficult to use without the bluetooth devices, therefore loss of one star.
Pros: Windows 8.1 Office Home and Student 2013 GPS
Cons: Weak WiFi
Overall Review: I needed 80 tablets for work and was going to go with the Dell Venue. After ordering a few to test we found that the Dell did not have GPS, which was needed for the application. The Toshiba has everything the Dell has plus GPS and a lower price.
Pros: Many many sensors. Dual cameras. FULL windows version NOT RT. Full office version. Long battery life. Very quick tablet. External monitor thru hdmi, a rare feature for tablets.
Cons: Windows 8.1 does not allow you to save apps to the sd card. Not a knock on the tablet as all windows 8.1 on tablets have this setback. Curiously windows phone 8.1 allows this so hopefully it'll be made available for tablets.
Overall Review: I bought this tablet on sale at newegg for 245 and purchased a high speed 64gb sd card. Class 10 or faster. All said less than 300.
For extra space you can delete the recovery partition after transferring it to usb stick. Also install all windows programs to sd card and use the internal for just windows store apps. All said I had about 20gb free on main tablet storage after doing this. Not bad considering what you'd get for 300 dollars from apple.
Pros: I do not yet own this tablet, but I would like to...
Cons: I would buy this tablet from Newegg if it wasn't $100+ more here than another popular site.
Overall Review: The specs on the toshiba meet my needs better than the others. It even meets my price range if looked at another site with the same exact model for $218. Always come here first, but maybe I'll swap that habit.
