Overall Review: I've got two lights in my man cave going to a gang plug and then the smart plug. Setup took just a few minutes to pair it with my Echo Dot and its working like a charm.

Cons: I have this model and its bigger brother. The bigger brother version is always connected and works as designed. This TP-Link HS105 for some reason does not stay connected no matter the location. I've relocated it to see if it is because of the proximity to the router. I have two of these units and both lose connection after a day while its never been a problem with the larger model.

Overall Review: No would not recommend this. May be I bought two defective units.

Pros: Using 3 of these around the house. Have one used as a timer for the living room light, one controlling an outdoor fountain, one controlling a bedroom light. Using Cortana for voice control of the devices... "Hey Cortana, turn on the water fountain." No hub required, can control or check lights when away from home with phone.

Cons: None, setup is easy and does not block the outlets.
