Does it work in reverse? Say Hdmi to displayport! Curious Question!

The product is a DisplayPort to HDMI extender, and there is no information provided that indicates it works in reverse (HDMI to DisplayPort).

Does this extend mouse/keyboard function also?

Not that i am aware. The DisplayPort is video/audio only as far as I know.
