Tyris T901DB 19" SXGA 1280 x 1024 D-Sub, DVI LCD Monitor

Pros: newegg delivery was fast

Cons: After a day of working, it quit suddenly. All I have is a black screen. The manufacturs support is a joke. I have spent over a week trying to get someone to replace or return it with no satisfaction. Everyone says its someone else's problem. I an very disappointed in newegg for their lack of help and especially sambyte service center and tyris warranty service. I am still fighting to get it replaced.

Pros: No dead pixels, attractive output and easy controls. Decent Price, I guess.

Cons: The base is not very adjustable. The cable connections are a tight squeeze. Experiencing strange blips during games. I'm running a gforce6600gt on an athlon X2 with 2gbDDR2 850MHz in an ASUS M2N32 Sli Deluxe Motherboard. I have not tried another monitor to find the source of these strange blips so you should probably take my comment with a grain of salt.

Overall Review: I hope it doesn't die like some of the other customer's.

Pros: Cheap 19" LCD. Quick repair time.

Cons: Died after 2 months. I also own the Wisewing 19" LCD, same monitor different name and it died at six months.

Pros: Great color and contrast. No dead pixels or ghosting. Great price!

Cons: Back port pannel is very cramped. Tilt is ok, but could be better. The viewing angle is not as small as stated. You can view it, but the color turns pinkish if not close to 90 degrees.

Overall Review: Like all LCDs, the pixels are bigger than CRTs, and you will notice them if you don't put it far enough away. If you're used to a 17in CRT, get a 19in LCD, etc.

Pros: Awesome. No dead pixels. Very nice looking. Glad I bought one.

Cons: DVI cable would have been nice.

Cons: First Tyris I purchased through NewEgg.com, developed a black vertical line within the second day 4/25/2006. Purchased another on 4/28/2006, and on 08/11/2006 this Tyris started cycling its power ON/OFF at a one second frequency.

Pros: Wonderful upon hookup. Picture clear and bright, no dead pixels. Easy adjustment and controls. No complaints for a couple of months. Then BAM, no power up .

Cons: Bought April 2006 on July 25 it died. It would not power up only flicker on and off for a milisecond. Nothing would fix problem. Then comes the real problem. Contacting company for warranty work. You must go to third party to get RMA, No phone help available, finally found website and sent in documents to get RMA, 2 days later no response. I spent hour finding phone number for Tyrus support and they were no more help. Instructed me to resubmitt again and if I did not hear from them within 3 days to call them again. This is a joke. That will be a week with dead monitor. I will buy another local so I can work. Do not think I will buy another from them only due to service department problems and warranty company. I will keep you up on followup.

Overall Review: Great deal for money unless you need warranty work then I feel you will be out of your money.
