Pros: Well, the discs work fine. Burns the image to the disc.

Cons: It's a little slow (around 20 minutes) for a nice picture. The discs are 3x as expensive as normal DVD+/-R.

Overall Review: Be sure to adjust the contrast and brightness of the picture (of the DVD label) you are going to burn, to enhance the crispness. It looks much sharper after modifying.

Pros: Burn fine in a LG 18X non-Light scribe burner and Asus 20X Light scribe burner. LG burns at 18X, Asus burns at 20X.

Cons: Had to coasters with the Asus burner straight away, but could have been due to getting settings correct installing burner, etc. Works fine now.

Overall Review: Go to lightscribe.com site and download the free burning software. Great little free program with templates, etc. Works fine with XP PRO 64 bit. Thank you Light scribe.com!

Pros: Got an awesome price on these. I've never had a coaster with these disk and I've burned hundreds. I burn these at 20x even thou they are rated for 16x

Cons: If you keep your discs in plastic sleeves they seem to fade over time.

Cons: The label side burns rather light compared to at least one other brand of disk... Here's my review: It is my experience that Memorex labels come out significantly darker. I say that as I sit here comparing them side by side. I even double-printed this Verbatim label sitting right in front of me, and it still isn't quite as dark as the Memorex single-print DVD label. I don't know if different batches of DVDs can make a difference, but if there is little variation between batches of disks, I'd say the Memorex brand labels darker. As for label resolution, it seems to be about the same (as viewed under a magnifying glass). Does anyone else have any 'right in front of them' comparisons of other brands? I'd really like to hear from you so we can figure out who really does have the best label side.

Overall Review: I read a thousand comparison reviews before purchase (okay, over 200), trying to determine what was THE best LightScribe DVD to get. All reviews have been based on things like 'lasts for years'. Oh really, you've only owned this batch of the product for 2 weeks. How do you _know_ that this brand and batch of DVD holds its digital information for YEARS longer than the nearest competitor? Because other reviewers said so... I'm NOT saying these are bad disks, because they do work. My success rate is equal to the equivalent Memorex brand, at a 100% successful burn rate thus far. People with a disk-burn failure rate, check your hardward, software, and data. I'm just saying I looked to the reviews to find out about the label side quality, and I feel rather misdirected by some inaccurate and outright false reviews.

Overall Review: Verbatim by far makes the most reliable media I have ever used, especially DVD's. I've used most of the other brand names and have ended up with many coasters. With the Verbatim DVD's I have always wrote at max speed and have never once ended up with any errors on the disc, let alone ending up with a useless coaster. I have found alot cheaper discs out there but none are worth the heartache of lost recordings. I've tried more expensive media also, but none as reliable as the Verbatim. In my book it isn't even worth trying another brand anymore.

Cons: The burned images can be a little blurry, but because of the physical structure of the DVD it's allways gonna be blurry compared to a lightscribe CD

Overall Review: Id highly suggest getting the lightscribe contrast utility from the lightscribe website. it draumatically increases the image quality at the expense of a little more time burning.

Pros: Works better than any other brand I've used and I burn a lot of DVD's. I've used 100's over the last few years and Verbatim has very few coasters and labels are much darker and sharper than other brands. It's been a while since I've even bothered with any other brand. OS - W7 x64
