Cons: Bought this for my grandma, and knew it was a bottom level monitor, I was just disappointed by what the bottom level is these days. Specifically, the stand is very wobbly and non adjustable, the speakers have NO bass response at all, and the colors, while accurate, lack contrast and 'pop'.
Overall Review: It's a HUGE screen at a fair price. You get what you pay for in this case. If you need a monitor, grab it. If you are trying to upgrade from something you already like, look somewhere else. This is an entry level unit.
Pros: Super Bright,
Big almost 24 inches.
Vesa Mounts
Insanely Deep Blacks.
The Plugs are on the back UNDER the monitor panel. ( this is a good and bad thing ) because having the plugs hang down vertically puts less strain on the monitors board.
MATTE screen!
HDMI x1, DVI,
Headphone Jack
Cons: Colors arent as Good as my Sammie LED but thats expected.
i would love to see some viewsonics with USB ports.
the buttons are freaking annoying to plug in being underneath the monitor. upon adjusting the settings i always hit the wrong ones.
Overall Review: please play with your settings , with tweaking ( as with all monitors/TV's) this thing really looks slick i adjusted mine to warm settings, put the color mode in RGB, and turned off dynamic contrast.
do not use gaming mode it washed out the image. if need be please use your NVIDIA control panel or the AMD catalyst to fine tune your monitor settings.
- this is an awesome product. cant wait to get another.
Pros: This ViewSonic VX2452mh blows away the Acer sitting next to it and plenty others I have had in the past. the colors are so vibrant, great price for a man on a budget but you feel like you get more than you paid for. the stand works fine who keeps messing with the stand and colors once you have made your adjustments, the reviews about the stand is irrelevant most companies on their budget monitors are like this as they have to figure out where to cut corners to keep it a budget monitor. all I know what's inside has got me excited. this thing looks great!
Cons: None! I tried to figure something that I didn't like about it and couldn't come up with anything, it looks fine!
Overall Review: I see reviews on how washed out the monitor is but I don't see that. sometimes I wonder have they been use to a $500 monitor and trying to compare this one. I think its all where you're coming from on the last monitor. I been buying those Acers and they stop working after a year and the vibrancy sucks. thought I would spend a little more money this time to see if I could get a little more use out of a monitor. I bought this because years ago I had a ViewSonic and always remembered how rich the colors were and how long it lasted. I made some adjustments and ended up very pleased with the results. I would definitely tell a friend to buy the ViewSonic VX2452mh

Great monitor for this price point.6/17/2016 8:37:03 AM
Pros: Good monitor for the money. Great picture with multiple inputs: VGA, HDMI, DVI. Looks nice sitting on the desk. Speakers aren't very spectacular. I use external speakers or headphones. First monitor came with a dead pixel. Replacement was no problem. Works great after owning it for over a year. I recommend it highly if you are on a budget and want a great monitor.
Cons: Speakers aren't very good. Better than nothing though.
Pros: I got this monitor on a whim without really knowing a lot about monitors, and was pleasantly surprised. The Game Mode button bumps up the contrast, but also increases brightness, so blacks aren't as rich. It's great for gaming, though, especially in games with a lot of darkness. Turn it off and it's back to normal, with fairly rich blacks and less bright whites.
I've used it for a while and have no complaints.
Cons: The Game Mode bumps up contrast but drops the richness from darker colors, while turning it off gives much richer blacks but lower contrast, which sometimes makes borders between similarly-colored things hard to see. There isn't really a happy medium.
Overall Review: The panel type is TFT. For the life of me, I cannot find any information on TFT panels. I was hoping to figure out if this was TN or IPS so I could make informed purchases in the future, but it's TFT. What even is that?
ViewSonic Quality is impeccable11/29/2015 7:29:52 PM
Pros: This monitor after assembly was just easy plug and play with HDMI, Phenomenal picture quality, but coming from a 17" HP basic office monitor, this monitor is huge!
Cons: No sound through the HDMI cable, even with updated drivers for both APU and Windows 10, need to use included audio analog cable! Speakers quality bites; with volume up on monitor and PC all the way can't barely hear anything, had to buy separate speakers for decent audio! Previous ViewSonic sound was extremely better!
Overall Review: Windows 10 x64
AMD A8 5600K Trinity APU Black Edition
8GB Kingston Fury Red
1 TB Toshiba 7200 SATA3 HDD
8 TB External Storage total via USB 3
450 Watt PSU
Samsung DVDRW
Cons: the monitor stem is a bit flimsy so its easy to torque the monitor. the monitor buttons are meh and have a issue of button over inputting on presses. speakers sound thin too.
Overall Review: once you get it dialed in, its good.
Pros: It's a huge bang for your buck.
