I don't thinks so.

I am using on a 1920x1080 Dell monitor and it works fine but I do have a 30" 2560x1600 I plugged it into and could not get it to work above 1280 x 800 on that monitor.

Question 2

This listing says up to 2560x1600 resolution. But none of the reviewers say that they have achieved that resolution, and the VisionTek web page for the product says very clearly that the device supports up to 2560x1440. What's the deal?

I too was (still looking, but ready to give up) not able to get 2560x1600 working on the Dell 3007 WFP.  I tried two different 3007 WFPs. Tried multiple dual link DVI cables.   It does, however, work on the Dell U3011.  It is as simple as swapping the cable at the monitor end.  One works.  One doesn't.  I used all cable/monitor combinations.  All three DP ports on the GTX 1070.  Its the monitor.  Something is different about the 3007 WFP.  Older maybe?  DVI implementation?  The U3011 has a DisplayPort that works, so using the adapter doesn't really help anything for the U3001, but its an interesting tidbit of info for you.

Somewhere out there is a guy (or gal) who knows exactly why this is and whether there is a fix, but I haven't found her yet.  Anyone?

I'm planning on getting this because the Plug 'n play issues with displayport and nvidia surround are just unbearable. So I have a few questions

1. Will this support 1920x1080 144hz sRGB
2. by putting this in the chain, will I kill displayport power off detection?

I don't see why? It shouldn't.
Not really sure what you mean actually. I'm a Mac Guy. I don't do PC's if this be the case.

Question 4

Can this adapter be used in reverse?  
I need a dual link adapter that will accept a dual link DVI-D signal and feed it into a DisplayPort monitor switch.

No, it doesn't.  In fact, it doesn't work as expected at all.  I would not waste money on this one.  HP has a much better one (and expensive too) that works much better and in reverse order.

Question 5

Does this really have a DVI-D dual link connector?  Picture shows a DVI-I Dual Link so I'm confused.  Thanks much.

The adapter is a DVI-D.  The four analog pins on the DVI connector are inoperable and cannot be used with yet a second adapter to get a VGA output.

I am attempting to link 2 view sonic monitors via a hub, with one display port output, on my graphics card. The monitors have a female
DVI-D( dual link) port, the cable adapter mentioned above has a DVI-I  male configuration, will this work?

All I can say is, for what I tried to use it for, the VisionTek did not work at all and was a complete waste of money. I was trying to display video from my 2013 Mac Pro to a 2560x1440 monitor. The product description, at least at the time, said it would work. It did not so I wouldn't trust it for any other purpose, nor will I purchase any other product from VisionTek if I can help it.

Does anyone know if this will work with 144hz panel and actually achieve full 144hz functionality?  My graphics card only has 2 dual link dvi outs, hdmi out, and dp out, and my 144hz acer monitors do not support dp, only dp or dual link dvi---in order for my monitors to function at full 144hz refresh, i have to use dual link dvi, as hdmi only supports 60hz.  So i heard an active display port adapter should work, converting the dp out on my graphics card, to a dual link dvi that my monitor can accept.  Will this actually work???
