Are you able to fit dual monitors on this desk or is it a tight fit? 27'' monitors

Hey, not completely sure about dual 27" monitors but I currently have dual 24" monitors with roughly 6-7 inches of room on each side of the monitors. Hope this helps.

Without the mat, is the surface smooth so that you can write on a piece of paper without causing bumps?

Yes the top is a type of laminate that is not as smooth as glass but it is definitely not textured enough that would cause any issue with writing on a piece of paper.

what part of this desk do you consider to be "L Shaped" ?

Sure as Heck looks like a regular  desk with no L shaped component.

Kinda hard to buy from a seller that doesn't know what they are selling.

The Legs, some call it T shaped also, easy to mislead those that are looking for a corner desk, but with gaming desks this tends to refer to the shape the legs make you see Z, K, L, and T shaped usually.

What about cable management options for this desk?  Does it come with items to help hide the cables?

There is a tray underneath in the back thats about 18 inches long and about 6 inches deep.  i use it for hiding cables and power bricks.  other than that, you can tie the cables to the back side of the metal frame underneath the desk to hide them.  i used velcro wire ties to hide all my wires behind the metal framing.  just takes a little ingenuity.

Is the edge of this desk square shaped? Would this desk stably support clamp-mounted monitor arms?

No, they are rounded in an almost octagonal shape. I'm supporting three 27 inch monitors on a triple mount just fine.

Question 6

The advertised height is 28.5", but this is definitely 30" with the leveling feet. Are the legs adjustable some how?

With the “plastic edging on the Top sides” of the desk from the bottom legs where the screw in feet go (Not including the screw in feet) the height is 29.75" And to the flat desk surface it is 29" and this measurement is from the bottom of the leg frame where the screw in legs would go. Using the screw in legs you can adjust up from approx. 29.5 to about 33" to the top surface of the desk BUT you cannot make it lower than the 29". If you do not put in the screw in legs you will be at about 29" but depending on the type of flooring the desk is sitting on you may want to get a small relatively thin piece of felt at a hobby or craft store and tape it to the bottom where the screw in legs would go for protection to the flooring.

Can you install a keyboard tray?

While I personally like the desk, i keep my keyboard on top of it. As I have a enough space for it. I agree with Paul, you'd want to be careful. The underside of it has a metal bar that may be in the way as well, so I'd suggest going with another desk if you're set on a keyboard tray.

Is the underside of the desk flat? I have long legs and I don't like hitting rails under a desk.

There are two metal beams actually holding the top desk and there is a Cable organizer that you can choose not to install. However the desk is tall enough and also the metal beams are far back enough that it should not be an issue. The last image on the Overview is slightly photoshopped, the legs are actually not in the center of the table but slightly further back, and you can see the two screws on the top of the legs, those are the two beams going across the table, which are pretty much on top.

Is this sturdy enough to mount 2 monitors?

Yes, definitely. I have dual 27" monitors mounted on mounting arms and have had no issues whatsoever. It is a very sturdy desk.
