Pros: This drive is still going strong after 6 years... I am absolutely amazed. It outlasted a 200GB Caviar SE which died after 4 years. It has been on for probably 90% of the hours over 6 years and seen dozens of reformats/reinstalls/etc... couldn't be happier with this drive.

Cons: Well... it is almost a 7 year old hard drive; it is now old tech. My 500GB Caviar Black drive (7200rpm) is noticeably faster than this older raptor.

Overall Review: This is the drive that sold me on buying high quality WD drives. Raptors are losing their place, since SSDs are starting to come down in price. However, their Caviar Black line is awesome in its place - I will be purchasing WD for a lonnnnnnnng time thanks to this drive.

Pros: Simply the fastest SATA disk there is. Measured with hdtach and hdtune: - masured seek time is 7.5ms (in comparison, Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 is 13.3ms - 80% slower). Read speed is 65MB/s avg 73max, and in NVRAID NF4 RAID0 106MB/s avg (111 max), and 7.8ms seek and 207MB/s burst.

Cons: very noisy compared to 7200 disks.

Overall Review: Running temperature is 26C in I-STAR iStorm 8 drive bay (searchy newegg) and that immediately after Windows installation. It goes up to 28 during stress ;-)). I have two disks and both report the same temp.

Pros: Super fast and 5 year warranty. Decreased by bootup time from 51 sec to 40 sec and fully operational time from 1:25 to :52. AMAZING

Cons: DO NOT BE FOOLED BY: "Ultra/150 Command Queuing technology -- increases data transfer efficiency for higher performance for enterprise applications" - They are referring to TCQ, not NCQ. TCQ is supported by professional controller cards and not included on most motherboards. NCQ is more commonly supported. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE! PS. Just a bit louder, not too bad!

Overall Review: Newegg, you need to change the description becasue it might be considered as false advertising!!!

Pros: this hard drive improved my load time in call of duty by double what it was before (10 seconds to 5). overall very fast and quiet. in battlefield 2 i now am the first one to load in a multiplayer server .

Cons: only 74 gigs

Overall Review: Let's face it. 74GB is small compared to what's out there now. But 2 74GB 10,000 RPM HDs on RAID 0 is the best thing that ever happened to gaming and me! Some say these drives are loud but I also have a V1100 LianLi case which is padded so I don't hear a peep! Get this drive if you're a performance freak and you want to load into the map before everyone else and get to the chopper or your choice of jet!!!

Pros: Very fast drive, very quiet, and very reliable. Bought 2 over 7 months ago and they are still going very strong.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Recommended for anyone needing that extra speed for gaming or other hard drive intensive programs.

Comments: Drives work great and are noticably faster than previous 7200 RPM drives. Excellent in a RAID0 configuration for your OS and Apps. I was a bit unhappy with how NewEgg packaged this shipment as the drives were merely wrapped in a layer of bubble wrap and put in a box with very little extra padding to keep them from flopping around in the box. Poor packaging, I expect more from you NewEgg.

Pros: Fastest drive you can buy without going to SCSI, 5 year warranty.

Cons: Pricey, a little loud, but worth it.
