Pros: Looking to make sure you have enough Air Flow through your system? Look no further with this case. While I've not heard of Montech as a brand before, I must say their case is a very quality case with some nice design aspects. I swapped out my system from a different case into this one with relative ease. This case supports most the the popular motherboard sizes you can think of. My system was a mini-ITX and while it looks small, it fits great in this case. Montech made sure to put Dust Filters where they could fit them all around the chassis so no dust should be able to get in a ruin your precious parts. Montech graciously included fans in their case. While not RGB like pictured (those are a different bran of fan), they do a great job at performing great airflow through the case. You can add more to help improve the quality of airflow, but my system was staying moderately cool during all my testing. Cable management was a charm in this case with some velcro cable ties. It makes it very easy to hide cables when you don't want them shown. After closing the case after my system move, I could tell the build quality was very sturdy. The tempered glass side panel definitely is a plus when working with RGB in your system.
Cons: The only con I had with this system was not seeing a USB type C connector on the front panel IO. We're quickly moving towards USB C being the new standard type for most of everything and it would have been nice to see one connector. It wasn't a deal breaker for me though as my mother board includes one on the back IO. I still question why there is a need for USB 2.0 Ports, but I guess some legacy systems still like them.
Overall Review: I would say this case is great for anyone looking for a great budget case that is worried about CPU/GPU temps. This case offers a lot of similar features in more higher end cases. The hardest decision you'll have is choosing between black or white. Both look amazing.
Pros: • Front Panel RGB button for controlling your motherboard LEDs (newer 5V-3pin style only) • 2x 120mm chassis fans included with several additional mounting points for additional fans or radiators, pumps, and reservoirs • Case boasts 3 SSD (2.5”) mounts and 2 (3.5”) HDD trays (which can be removed) • Easily removable magnetic dust filters on the bottom and top of the chassis will help keep inner components clean • Wire-tie anchor points are everywhere on the back side of the chassis. Cable management should not be a problem although may require additional extensions if you want to hide all cables • Isolated power supply zone keeps aesthetics high and temperatures low • Will support an E-ATX motherboard (Up to 12” x 11”) • Plenty of room to accommodate full length graphics cards (may need to remove a front fan in extreme scenarios if you have 2 or more) • Large (tinted) tempered glass side door for showing off your LED lighting. • Plenty of screws, motherboard standoffs, cable ties, and an old-school motherboard speaker included • LED toggle switch that can be connected to a controller
Cons: • Not future proof - I was disappointed to find that it did not include any USB 3.1 or Type-C connectors • Metal panels are thin and flimsy and can be easily bent or damaged • Offers zero sound absorption. If you load it up with fans, expect a lot of noise. The dust filters make it worse, and restrict flow • Tempered glass is held by 4 thumb-screws equipped with a small rubber gaskets. Over-tightening of these screws could lead to cracking the glass • SSD 1 is mounted inside the case in the top-right corner, while 2 & 3 are on the backplate and may be covered when running your cables. This is a minor inconvenience unless you plan to swap SSDs often • Expect difficulty with the lower HDD trays if you have a large power supply. • Included chassis fans are cheap – non-LED, non-PWM, rifle bearing, low flow rate and static pressure
Overall Review: On opening this case, the first thing I noticed was how light it was for being a case of this size. The tempered glass makes up a majority of its bulk leaving only flimsy metal and plastic. It was difficult removing the front panel using the pre-defined pry locations without damaging the mesh screen or worrying about breaking the plastic. I wouldn’t expect anyone to be cleaning the front filter very often due to this. On the plus side, it does have plenty of room to accommodate an E-ATX motherboard and a full-size graphics card. It came with 6 pre-installed motherboard stand-offs with additional stand-offs included. The LED toggle button on the front was a nice touch but I would have preferred it in a different location rather than next to the reset button after accidently resetting my PC several times during testing. The PCI port screens are very cheap and you must bend them out before installing your motherboard. I assume that’s why they included additional spares. The manual is also severely lacking instructions but I did find the reference to the tint on the tempered glass as an “explosion-proof protector” amusing. Overall, I will probably not continue to use this case but I can imagine it being useful for someone on a budget that wants to show off their LED capability, needs room for a large graphics card, and will not be opening the case nor exchanging hardware after the first build. Overall Review: This is my second build using this Montech Air 900 Mesh case. I was very impressed with this case when we used it to transfer my son's iBUYPOWER PC to it. That PC was plagued with heating issues from new. It even had water cooling; that easily fit in the Montech Air 900. My only regret was not installing 3 colored fans in the front slots. The Montech Air 900 solved his heating problems from the very first day. We didn't even add any other fans. The cable management was wonderful too. He loved the case so much that I decided to use it once again for another build. This time around the box on the Montech was roughed up a bit from shipping. There was no need for worry, as the case is packaged very well to survive some minor abuse. I am very pleased with this case. I have used more expensive cases in the past (especially when using full sized cases for SLI and RAID configurations) and they didn't offer anything this case doesn't have. On another interesting note; the Montech Air 900 looks like the twin to my other son's Cyberpower PC case. This is simply put an outstanding case at this price point. I didn't mention any cons as I don't see anything worth mentioning. I'm very happy with the case and wouldn't hesitate to build my next with it.
Pros: + Excellent case, sturdy well built construction, with focus on aesthetics and airflow. I was very impressed by the amount of space allocated on the back side of the motherboard tray, which allows for easy cable management and channeling. This case features a powder coat finish, rolled edges, I did not detect any sharp edges inside. This case has precision cut metal dust screens an added bonus the screens are easy to remove and reattach thanks to magnetic retention strips along the edges. Shroud covering the power supply and hard drive caddy also provides extra area to tuck and hide any excess cabling, lending to an easy clean look. The tempered glass is a great feature, it adds a perfect window to show off your RGB eye candy components and adds to the overall stability and rigidity of the case. The pane is fairly thin (maybe a little thicker than 1/8th in. thickness), but being tempered it adds strength and safety. The pane attaches by thumb screws which have two rubber grommets on either side of the pane. I did find that the screw shaft itself can make contact with the glass, which is a good reason to only attach the panel when the case is resting on its side to ensure proper alignment. Three front fan mounts for 120 or 140mm fans, and a single rear 120mm fan. Two fan ports on the ceiling and two above the PSU shroud. Also the rear fan mounts are adjustable on linear channels that allows you move the fan a little more than 1 inch up or down (likely for alignment with cpu cooler fans) The included 120mm fans are fairly quiet with no noticeable motor or wobble sounds, but not as quiet as aftermarket fans designed for silence. Highlights: • Mesh front, top and bottom allows optimal airflow for cooling. • Tempered glass side panel • Powder coat finish paint • Pre-mounted motherboard standoffs • Lots of room for cable management • Tool-less Hard Drive caddy. • Dedicated SSD mounting tray. • Includes plenty of zip ties and a few integrated velcro ties make cable management a breeze. • Integrated RGB switch for cycling colors and fades with compatible motherboards.
Cons: - the front panel fan mounts are on a thin, flimsy feeling piece of stamped out sheet steel (this panel does not effect the overall rigidity of the case). Mesh panels are not for everyone, if you live with pets or have a dusty environment the mesh will need frequent cleaning (depending on airflow). The power supply mounts only allow for mounting with the PSU fan facing downwards, drawing air from outside of the case. This is a head scratcher as pretty much every case I’ve seen with a down facing PSU air port also have alternative mounting holes for mounting with the fan side up, to draw air from within the case. (This case does have a fairly easy to remove and clean mesh filter for the PSU, however; I prefer to mount with the fan facing up, as you cant see dust impacting the mesh filter unless you tip the case on its side. Cleaning the bottom dust filter just becomes something that is easy to overlook or forget about.)
Overall Review: ~ This is an excellent case, with design and space that should suit most PC builders needs. This case has a subtle refined aesthetic that doesn’t scream gaming PC (until you mount RGB fans and accessories ;p ). I am really impressed by the overall build quality and feel of this case, something that I usually only see in higher priced cases. The full side tempered glass panel really nails the look. I did not have a water cooler set up to build with, so I cannot attest to fitment of radiators, but this case does handle large air coolers fairly well, but not some massive air coolers. Clearance is listed at 165mm on their website, as such I didn’t bother trying to fit my massive DC Assassin II cooler which is 167mm tall. This case should accommodate most large air coolers, but I would check size specs ahead of time, I used an older CM 212 Evo, which has plenty of clearance at 159mm. Overall I would recommend this case to most PC builders looking for a well built, moderately priced case. This case has exceeded my expectations for a case in this price range. 4.5 eggs.
Pros: Clean design Removable, magnetic dust screens Flexible fan options Really cool glass panel Good wire management options USB 3.0 and 2.0 connections Comes with two basic fans Lightweight
Cons: No 5.25" drive bay Only two 3.5" drive bays 2.5" bays are all over the place Minimal accessories Only comes with two basic fans
Overall Review: I haven't come across a case quite like this myself. The tempered glass side panel is way cool, easy to clean, hard to scratch, and quickly removed with 4 thumb screws. Inside the edges are all rounded over and smooth for the most part. There were no burrs to cut me which is appreciated. All the metal seems to be finished in a rough satin black powder coat. The case seems pretty sturdy yet light with minimal flex. I like the magnetic dust screens. There is a screen on the top, bottom, and front. You simply pull them off, clean them, and slap them back on - very cool. To clean the front dust screen the entire front fascia must be popped off. Popping off the fascia does require some force and I believe a hinged front would be much better. There's an LED on/off button built into the top of the front panel that the manual indicates works with Asus Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, and Gigabyte RGB Fusion. It seems like a simple push on push off button with a two pin connector. I didn't test this function as I don't have any compatible products. Honestly the drive mounting options are kinda whack and this is the main failure of this case. If I needed more than two drives, I'd probably start looking at a different case. There's no option for a 5.25" drive at all. The 2.5" drive mounting options are basically wherever they could cram them. - There are two 2.5" drive attachments behind where the motherboard expansion slots would be. - The two 3.5" drive bays also accommodate 2.5" drives. - There's also a fifth 2.5" drive mounting option on the front top corner sandwiched between the aluminum side cover and the motherboard mounting plate. The 3.5" bays have plastic mounting sleds that slide in and out. I pulled one out and it took me 3 minutes to get it to line up and slide back in. The lack of proper drive bays does make the case a bit smaller while allowing the biggest, honkin'est video cards to fit. The expansion slot cutouts on the back panel are stamped and must be broken out where needed. Kinda cheap, but not a big deal. Overall I like the case, but it wouldn't serve me for my primary PC due to the drive configuration.
Pros: This is a tower I didn’t expect. It almost feels like a prank. I have never heard of Montech before this. The Air 900 Mesh is a sleek well-machined tower that offers the basic amenities I expect from higher-end brands, at a considerably low cost. There are flush magnetic sliding dust filters on the bottom, the front (between mounting brackets and grill), and on the top. Getting to the dust filters is relatively easy and a huge bonus for easy cleaning. The tempered glass side panel is super easy to remove and reaffix using four hand tighten screws. Inside the tower, the edges are all (where it matters) rounded off and smooth. The PSU shroud is a must for me so I am glad it has one. The book that comes with the Air 900 Mesh is the most useful book of any tower to date for me. Simple pictures and verbiage made it easy to understand all mounting points without just guessing ‘where can I put this....maybe here?’ I know I have had that problem in the past...just guessing what looked like a good spot (speaking about SSD mainly). Three easy spaces to mount 2.5” drives, and one 2 bay cage for 3.5” drives offers a pretty optimal amount of room and options for this tower. All cut out and standoff locations are great. Only two cut outs to the right of the mobo have rubber grommets all other cut outs are just exposed cut outs. The protruding mesh front is excellent for airflow and looks nice on this tower. No complaints here. The top of the tower can accommodate either 2 140mm fans or 2 120mm fans. (1 280 rad or 1 240 rad). If you rad the top be mindful of your clearance because it becomes very cramped/difficult. The front supports 3 120mm fans and the rear 1 120mm fan. Adding to a bit of luxury is the rear bracket bar. Instead of being tear-away-throw-away they are quality brackets the are held in to place with a screw in slider. A small but awesome design feature that kept the end user in mind. The front IO is pretty straight forward with one added benefit. 2 USB 2.0 2 USB 3.0, power, reset, audio, AND an additional switch for RGB control. If you have the RGB version of this case it’s for the built in controller. If not it’s an extra –repurposeable- switch to control whatever you connect to.
Cons: It feels half-complete by only putting grommets on two of the cutouts. I’d like to see grommets on all of the cut outs. The dust filters are nice, but I have seen this style of dust filter rip over time and worry that it’s a matter of time before degradation sets in and they become a problem. One downside is the overly large honeycomb design on the PSU shroud that’s made for both airflow and for displaying a pretty RGB PSU. I think it was a bit over exposed and I personally like to be able to hide some mess down there.
Overall Review: This is a budget spender's dream. Everything about this tower was a bit of a surprise and the brand has my attention. Just sort of had that subtle ‘wow’ factor for what the price is, and all it has to offer. The quality and attention to detail based around a consumer definitely stick out. It made me feel as though Montech cared about what they put out there for us and it really earned a level of appreciation from me. To ask for more would be asking to spend more, so for everything we have here, it’s more than fair in my assessment.
Pros: Solid Construction for a budget case PSU mounts in the bottom of the case Cable Management is more than adequate-but I do recommend a Modular PSU Included Velcro tie straps for cable management AirFlow in case is nothing short of Fantastic Does Have included fans-though they are sleeve bearing fans Lots of SSD mounting areas Removeable Mesh Filters on top, bottom and front of case. Filter mesh uses replaceable magnetic strips Controls and USB ports are easily accessible Capable of handling ATX, Mini ATX, ITX style motherboards Capable of handling the largest video cards Able to mount most water cooling units without issues Pricepoint for case features is excellent in my opinion included speaker for motherboard error codes is something you just don't see anymore
Cons: Absolutely no support for 5.25 drives. Not able to add a Blu Ray burner, which I always do in my personal builds Front panel is very trick to remove, you must be careful not to break the pins Backplate install for most backplates is a little tricky, but if you are creative it comes out looking ok Included manual is total junk Two of the SSD mounts require that you mount them before you install the motherboard itself Included fans are nothing you will want to use. install your own fans using a non-sleeve bearing type fan Case is between a mid tower and a full tower size. Be sure to measure so it fits where you want to place the case. In my instance, I had to place it on a platform on the floor instead of the shelf on my desk that was designed for the computer case. This item is hard to find just about anywhere right now. I have no idea if that's a supply problem, or it's just that good.
Overall Review: I would recommend this case to anyone wanting to consider a basic case build that may use a normal sized water cooling unit. The case has plenty of airflow and can take quite a few fans, so you may not even need water cooling if you are not a heavy overclocker. I found it to be a very silent case when fitted with fans with fluid dynamic bearings. The only thing I didn't like about the case is the inability to mount a Blu Ray burner. I know hardly anyone uses these anymore as most games use USB 3.0 or downloads, but I like being able to play a Blu Ray movie through my computer, plus I also do video encoding. Now I just have to find a reliable 5.25 USB 3.0 housing that will work with a Blu Ray burner. I haven't found too many that will. It's not perfect by any means, but it's better than a lot I've worked with at this pricepoint. I give it a good 5 egg rating.

Pros: - Sturdy, riveted frame with nice tempered glass panel side. - Modern design with 2x USB 2.0 & 2x USB 3.0 Top panel ports. - Included fans (1 front, 1 rear 120mm) are decent but I would fill out the rest on front, and top. - The rear mount metal plate for 2 SSD drives is great, along with other mount points in the frame too. - Velcro straps in back panel for cable management. - Magnetic dust filters are great and easy to remove except for the front one (see cons below).
Cons: - Front panel pops off from pulling bottom to remove the front and gain access to the magnetic dust filter. However the plastic retaining “knobs” could weaken over time if you have pets, and need to clean frequently like me. I would have preferred a hinged front panel or a way to slide the filter out the top or side. - Filters could be a tad bigger, if you have fur based animals you will be cleaning said filters often.
Overall Review: I am very impressed with this case, for its sturdy construction and it’s good price point for It’s features. I took a media pc out of an old case and re-Installed it into this one for streaming Netflix and games that use controllers on my tv. It’s smaller size and design fits my use perfectly and while you may need to put a few more fans in to get the best temps I don’t see it as a major detractor to this case. The only downside is the front panel and the plastic retainers that may not be robust enough to survive years of taking off and re-installing for cleaning. A hinged setup or different way to slide out the front filter would have earned it another egg. In all if you like the look of the case and are in its price point for your budget the only advice I have is to add a few more fans depending on the heat your setup puts out. I added one more 120mm on the top and front to make sure air keeps moving. Thank you for reading my review!
