Does this card work in a laptop? specifically an HP ENVY? thanks

This is a desktop card, so the only way to get a new graphics card would be to get a new MOBO, as the current one is either soldered to the motherboard or integrated into the CPU. Replacing the MOBO would cost more than the laptop itself, so no new graphics card for you unless you get a desktop.

Yes; the specs state: CrossFireX Support, Yes - and the full product title on newegg (XFX Core Edition FX-785A-ZNL4 Radeon HD 7850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card) also indicates CrossFire Support.

This has been an outstanding card for us thus far; I would by another.

can anyone who plays WOW tell me how good can this GPU works with WOW?  i'm new with AMD card so i dont know nothing of them but  judging from the price i quest it can be alright.
i had a GF 650ti that was broken on arrival so i want to try something new

i dont have WOW but im guessing it will do great with it. i have a long list of games and this card so far plays every one of them!
i have GTA and saints row which are both open world and require more graphics than WOW and they dont have any issues running at full capacity!

im new to the AMD side of things but so far ive been impressed!

Is this compatible with a Gateway DX4320?

Cards with PCI express 3.0 are backwards compatible; that won't be a problem. As long as it fits and your PSU has enough spare wattage, this should work.

Question 5

Sorry for my ignorance, but can I swap this out with the GeForce card I put in my Hp p6310y a couple of years ago? Would I need any other connectors, etc?  Thanks.

That PC has a PCIEx16 slot, which is most likely where your geforce card is so it is compatible.  However, XFX recommends a 500 watt minimum power supply, and your PC comes with a 300 watt power supply.  Now, this card draws 130 watts at max load.  If you don't have a bunch of hard drives or other things that could take away available power it should handle it although I have no idea what power supply HP uses but it probably isn't a very great quality.  You're looking at about $50 for a decent 500 watt PSU if you end up getting this badboy and your 300 watt'er can't deliver the juice.  Also, you're going to need to open your PC and see if you can find a 6 pin power connector coming from your PSU.  If you don't know what this looks like google image search "6 pin power connector."  If you don't have one, you most likely have a molex connector available and will need to get a "molex to 6 pin connector," since this product does not come with one.  Hope this helps!

My monitor doesn't have hdmi , but I want to use the hdmi to go though my capture device, then to my monitor? How will I connect everything, and what cables?

What type of capture device are you using? That will change how this  would work.  This card supports all kinds of output, but the capture device would need to support video out that you want.

What power cable connector from my psu is need to to connect to my graphics card.( this gpu)?

You should have a cable with a 2x3 connector (3xyellow, 3x black), possibly labeled "PCI-e". This provides additional 12V to your card. Without it, your computer will refuse to boot.

Note that this is different from the 2x2 and 2x4 connectors (also yellow and black) that are used for supplemental CPU power. These won't fit.

The XFX 7850 has somewhat modest power consumption, so if a really old PSU does not have that connector, there are adapters for floppy to PCI-e. But then it might be better to get a newer PSU.

So I was wondering if this will work good in my HPE-400f? I got it like 10 years ago and I am buying a 650 wattage for this card too?

This is not likely. The HPE-400f has a 300W PSU. I have run a single HD7850 on a 500W PSU, and it did work, but I'd probably not try this with a 400W supply or even lower-rated ones.

Under load, the XFX 7850 (at stock clock rate) draws about 120-130 Watts, about half of it through the PCI-E connector. Add to that ~100W for the CPU, maybe 30-40W for the chipset, and you are already close to 300W even without peripherals and HDD.

If you buy a 600-650W PSU, you'll be fine, as far as I can tell.

Should be no problem in that MB it has pci express 2.0 16x slots and the 7850 can go into pci express 1.0 2.0 and 3.0 16x slots

I have a GeForce GTX 660 in my rig right now on an ASUS P8Z77-V motherboard, but I started mining and my card is no good for that. If I was to get this card and throw it in my rig and use it as a mining card only would I have any problems?

You did not specify what do you want to mine. Bitcoin mining on video cards is not profitable since the electricity bill will be higher than earning, most people do litecoin (or other scrypt-based XXXcoin) mining. Anyway the AMD cards are much better for mining due to high-parallel architecture. You can find mining speed (hashrates) for bitcoins and litecoins on the sites like litecoin_dot_info / Mining_hardware_comparison (or google for that)
