ZALMAN CNPS10X QUIET 120mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler

Pros: This is a great cooler. It is huge but fit in my Antec 900 case. It came with all the adapters for LGA1366/1156/775/AMD, eventhough newegg spec didn't list LGA1156's compatibility. Also came with a full tube of very high quality thermal paste. Super easy to install, but make sure you don't lose the small clear plastic washers when you dump the contents out of the little baggie. I almost didn't see them (they go in the back between the nut and mobo). I haven't hooked up the fanmate2 so I don't know how it performs. Bios showed my i7 860 idles at 24C. It is also very quite. Love the look of the fan and heatsink. Zalman did a nice job with the tower design (I never really liked the old style).

Cons: I'd really like to see a nice soft blue led on the fan but it's not really a con.

Overall Review: Get this cooler, works great !

Pros: It effectively cools an Intel i5 750 I like the mounting plate, it feels very secure and doesn't flex the mobo the fit and finish were classic Zalman quality no chintzy shortcuts for a pricey product

Cons: As everyone has said, it blocks the closest RAM slot on most P55 boards including my GA-P55-UD3R. But I am using only 2 sticks of RAM ATM. At 6" high some cases may not fit it's girth. My Antec Three Hundred fits it with about 1/4" to spare.

Overall Review: This cooler is very silent, I have it in my HTPC and the sound of the HDTV was louder than this in everything but games. Load temps of 41-43C across the cores in prime95 with fanmate2 on full and 45-48 with it on low. The room was 25C. At idle it was running at around 22-25C at both speeds. Some folks didn't like the fan wireclips, I had no issue with them as long as I started from the bottom or top and worked them onver the fins.

Overall Review: This cooler is deadly silent. I can barely hear this over my 3 Antec Tricool fans on low speed (rated at 25db). It fits Antec P180 mid tower with flying colors. I hooked up with Fanmate 2 controller, but it's useless because even at full speed, this fan is so silent. Beware, on Gigabyte P55-UD3R board, the first RAM slot will be unusable with RAMs that have semi decent heatsinks, such as G.Skill Ripjaws.

Pros: Cool looking. Very quiet. Good instructions.

Cons: Too big. Fan is easy to move after putting it on. Taking the fan off so the cooler can be fastened down is a pain. Also, the clips that hold the fan on are flimsy. I foresee these things breaking if I have to mess with it too much in the future. Oh, and I had to turn the fan towards the I/O shield because the fan was so big it blocked one of my RAM slots on a Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3R MB.

Overall Review: I just put an i5 build together. This fan fit into a Cooolermaster Storm Scout case on a Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3R MB. CPU temp was at 26C with just the video card and RAM hooked up. No HD yet.

Pros: My Core i5 runs from 29-33C idle and 38-42 playing CODMW at highest resolution. Fits in my Antec 900 barely...but it fits. Installed on Gigabyte p55 UD4P. Very quiet. Very good cooler with high quality.

Cons: GIGANTIC. It WILL cover the first slot of your MB ram slot. However, I solved this problem (for me)by simply installing it 90 degrees where it would blow out the back of my Antec case, thus not covering the ram slot. Works fine. Probably not for madcap overclockers, but Im not going to go higher that 3.2ghz........probably. :^)

Overall Review: Core i5 750 Antec 900 case 8GB Gskill Ram..1600ddr3..(not ripsaw) Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Antec Trupower Trio 650w Nvidia 8800GTS WD Caviar 1TB (I will probably upgrade the power supply and Video card as soon as the ATI 5800 series becomes more available.

Pros: Nice build and very quiet. Keeps my AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE cool, even under load.

Cons: BIG. Barely fits in a full size Antec Case. Had to modify RAM heat shield to get the cooler positioned right. On some motherboards (like my Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P) fan orientation options are minimal, which can effect airflow in your case.

Overall Review: I use this in a ProTools rig in my home studio. I wanted near silence, and I got it. Combined with a Zalman VGA cooler my rig is now very quiet and stays cool (I also have 4 120mm case fans). If it will fit in your case, this is an excellent option.

Pros: very impressed. so much quieter than the zalman 9900. i can not hear this fan at all. the ps3 fan is louder. lol. highly recommended to pc enthusiasts. thankyou, zalman and newegg.

Cons: none.

Overall Review: suggestion to zalman. the fins at the bottom of the 9900 are not needed. the fins are to close together causing the fins to vibrate, which makes an annoying loud humming noise. just a suggestion.

Pros: Very quiet & efficient: easy to install, except for the need to remove & reinstall the fan (Intel CPUs only). I have the fan speed turned down to minimum; it's virtually silent, and my i7-860 runs well below thermal limits.

Cons: Very large, but weight:size ratio is pretty good. The thermal "grease" is unlike anything I've used before; it works and cures almost like a rubber-based compound. The wires that secure the fan to the heatsink fins are clumsy to clip on and off, but are very secure once in place.

Overall Review: Following instructions (I thought), I used too much the thermal compound first time, and had to clean the mess off my CPU and MB socket and start over. But after 3 days of burn-in, no problems whatsoever.
