Pros: Well Copper is always the best heat conductor, but it is heavier than aluminium. Temps are even lower than I expected right around 34 deg Celsius which is what I would get with my water cooler on my older rig. Fan is very quiet, and in my rig hardly ever spools up.

Cons: if you are getting this for a 2011 socket. BUY THE 5.99 Kit! because this kit does NOT come with the proper screws! It comes with the brackets but not the screws (at least mine did not). -1 egg for that one!

Overall Review: Wear gloves it is sharp. When you tighten the screws pick one then tighten in an X shape. and do not over tighten. it should take about two rounds to get it properly secured on a 2011 socket.

Pros: Definitely keeps things cool. Just by looking at it and handling it one can tell it’s very well put together. The performance is amazing, it is near silent, it looks great and it’s easy to install. As stated by Zalman on the products webpage, the shroud is only there for the protection of the fins on the cooler when in transit. By taking off the shroud it dropped the temperature 2-4 degrees and it does just that. It really drops it 5 degrees when the cpu is at idle and drops it 2-3 degrees under load. For me, I am getting the following results. At idle around 26c on / stock was 38c, under load around 41c on / stock was 59c. These temperatures are for a i7 940 not OC.

Cons: None, If you don't do the usual checking of the space inside the case to make sure you have clearance, then sorry for you. Buy another computer case that fits. It will be worth it in the end.

Overall Review: I'm very happy with this cooler. The stock coolers are a joke, and I've had multiple problems in the past with aftermarket coolers not fitting correctly. This was a success in every way possible; I would absolutely buy another one for my next air cooled system. Pros: Fan installed perfect in my X58 Platinum MSI 1366 Board. This fan comes complete with both instalation kits for the 1366 and 775 socket.along with supplied thermal grease. power connector is long and generous compared to the stock i920 heatsink fan plug.i feel i have a good "i920 nehalem chip,with stock heatsink and fan temps would idle at 33c.on gaming load 38c. installation of the Zalman 9900 brought temps down to 24c.on gaming load 30c. My case is a Antec 1200 series with all fans running on low. As you can see this Zalman works and dropped the temps on an average for me 8c.

Pros: Looks impeccable, does a good job at cooling, quiet (at low speed). Install is faster than you'd expect. Free thermal paste that works. No bloodshed!

Cons: Not the miracle maker some claim it to be. A bit loud at full speed. Power cables not sleeved.

Overall Review: I was reading some of the reviews left here claiming they're getting ridiculous temps like 25*c idle and 40*c load on an overclocked 1366 Core i7. These people are either placing their PC next to a AC unit or live in a tent in the frozen tundra of the Canadian north. I have tried various thermal pastes, including the one that came with the unit, and thus far I haven't even came close those figures. The best I could obtain on a stock Core i7 920 was 39-35-38-36 Idle. When it counts, with 100% load using InterlBurnTest(Standard run) anywhere from 52*c to 67*c depending on the paste used. The Zalman paste that came with the unit was one of the best performers, so don't waste your money on getting something better if you're not clocking to past 4ghz. Pros: I wouldn't know much about CPU fans, but after putting this bad boy in i never worry about my CPU overheating or getting close. (NOTE: Fan is big so make sure to check dimensions on Zalman.com and for your tower) Fan Dimensions are: 94(L) x 131(W) x 152(H) mm (your welcome)

Cons: not really a con but some of the Metal plates were touching but i suspect that happens because there are so many so close together.

Pros: Does a great job of cooling. Like most Zalman coolers, looks almost alien.

Cons: Somewhat fussy installation. Those notorious, razor sharp Zalman copper blades!

Overall Review: I was a bit apprehensive about buying this cooler for an AM3+/GIGIBYTE build after reading the difficulties many have had with installation. But, the price and rebate were hard to pass up, and I’ve always had a great deal of luck with Zalman. So, caution be darned and let’s see what the issues are. First-things-first: I installed this thing in 20 minutes. I should add that I could see the potential issue with the mounting screws not quite reaching the mounting nuts fastened to the backplate. However, knowing about this ahead of time, I skipped the second half of Step 3 and did not attach the padded, double-sided tape to the loading block. This got the mounting screws an extra millimeter or so closer to the mounting nuts, which was just enough. (Note that the enclosed User’s Manual indicates that the double-sided tape “…is not a necessary component.”) A second strategy I found useful was keeping the rigid plastic cover on the unit during installation. The User’s Manual early on instructs you to “…unclip and remove the heatsink's plastic brace before installing the cooler.” But, on close inspection, it seemed obvious that the cover could be easily snipped off after installation. Keeping the plastic cover on accomplishes two things: You can mostly avoid getting your fingers and hands cut to shreds by those notorious Zalman copper blades; and, the rigid plastic cover is braced in such a way that you can apply some moderate pressure to its top during installation to help with the threading of those four, potentially troublesome mounting screws. A surprisingly easy installation, all things considered. Periodic checks of the CPU temp under a variety of loads has yet to show it above 30C, although I’m not a gamer. And, whisper quiet, too, if by “whisper” you mean it *literally* can’t be heard. What’s not to like? …as long as you go in prepped.

Pros: Outstanding! Running this over my AMD 7750 with a major overclock and yet my max temp is 36C with Prime95 test! Very easy to install on the AMD sockets, you just have to hook on the clip.

Cons: Expensive... but I guess you get what you pay for.

Overall Review: Okay, 2 things. 1. If you only have the 3-pin port on your motherboard you can still use this! The 4-pin is just for fan speed control in your BIOS. My motherboard only has the 3-pin port but yet it still powers the fan. 2. Do yourself a favor and remove the plastic shroud. The only reason Zalman put it on was so that you don't chop up any cables that might get in the fan. Removing the shroud will also lower your temps.

Pros: Has been cooling a i7 920 for three years now. Nice icy cold temps even with mild overclocking. Has a blue led that is pleasing to look at when i take my case cover off every 6 months or so. Tall enough to not interfere with ram sticks.

Cons: PITA to clean after years of use, but i don't imagine that any air cooler would be easy to clean.

Overall Review: Keeps temps down even when clogged with dust.
