PC Power & Cooling ZX Series 850 Watt 80+ Gold Fully-Modular Active PFC Performance Grade ATX PC Power Supply (OCZ-ZX850W)

Pros: There are many things that I really like about this PSU. Let’s start with the cables; I like the fact that it’s truly fully modular. On a few of the reviews I have seen some comments are negative about the 24 pin cable being modular in my personal option this is a big plus. If I need to take the power off the board I don’t need to put my hand near the board “increases the chance of ESD” I can quickly disconnect the cable at the PSU. Faster and I don’t have to worry about damaging my Mobo or unplugging some of the small front panel wires just all around easier. The cable selection that came with the PSU varies in a good way. I have a bottom mounted PSU and I am running SLI the cables are all long enough that I can run them in a nice and neat way for good cable management. The PSU came with a nice bag to keep the unused cables in that was a nice extra that was not in the picture.

Cons: There is not much I don’t like about this unit. The only little thing I can say that the packaging has this little insert that I just don’t like. Call me to picky lol.

Overall Review: I am really pushing this PSU I am running a nice gaming rig with two Vid cards that I also use to create music with “Magix Music maker”. I have both my video cards over clocked and my Mobo along with my Intel XMP memory at 32 gigs pushed to the max. I also have a few extras installed and the PUS has had no hiccups and has been nothing but great.

Pros: Powers my computer. It's modular. It's 850w with a single rail. I'm stating the obvious. :D Cables do lock into the PSU so i'm not sure what the others reviews were complaining about. Comes with some nice velcro cable ties?

Cons: Some cables are short, but they fit perfectly in my mid-tower system, even when routing cables through the back.

Overall Review: I got this on sale for 130, waiting on the rebate for 30. :D Even without the rebate, 130 for a 850w GOLD certified PSU, from a reliable company too, is a steal!

Pros: Plenty of power. Cables are nice and long enough to reach even with cable management in a full case.

Cons: I'm a little perturbed with all the capacitors in the cables.

Overall Review: The whole idea of a fully modular was to single sleeve it without having to open the PSU and void the warranty. With all the capacitors I had to buy extensions to hide that part behind the mobo.

Pros: Price / Performance this PSU stands head and shoulders above most competitors. One massive 70A rail. 850 real useable watts. Fully modular. Yate loon fan. 5 year warranty. And the best build quality I've seen in an OCZ PSU. I got it with a mir so it was an absolute steal, but even at retail its a good deal.

Cons: No MOV but use a surge protector and your GTG!

Overall Review: I'm a heavy overclocker so a quality PSU is of upmost importance to me. I did a ton (4+ hours) of research before buying this unit. OCZ has brought an awesome unit to the table here. JohnnyGuru reviewed the 1000 watt version and gave it a 9.5. That's saying alot when coming from them as their reviewers can be tough. The 850W unit has been tested up to 1000+ watts before cutting out. It has almost no noise or ripple. I cant say enough about the modular capabilities! I'm really glad I chose this PSU.

Pros: Unit is barely audible 100% modular Extremely high quality materials Top end performance and efficiency Purchased this unit for an SLI set up (Two 570s) with absolutely no issues during install. The design is slick and very appealing. There really is not much more to say then what the video unboxing already shows, built with high quality materials, 5 year warranty, gold certified, and enough power to last me a long time. Plus rebate!

Cons: Someone did mention this already but the cables are kinda hard to maneuver around the case being that its covered with a mesh cover common with power supplies

Overall Review: I was split between this and the Corsair 850 psu, being that I owned a OCZ before (fatality 750 version) it was easy to choose ..Go OCZ :)

Pros: -Modular cables -nice velcro case for extra cables, plenty of cables provided -quiet

Cons: -really short CPU cables

Overall Review: Works great, got it as Shell Shocker for 100. Rebate seems to have gone through real easily, just waiting for it to be mailed.

Pros: -Gold PSu -Fully Modular -5 year warranty -Solid firm cables (also a con, will explain) -Solid Brand Ocz

Cons: Ok the only Con is how Firm and sturdy the Main Board connector is! For a big Full tower, its not an issue, but for a Mid tower case, the cable sticks out a little and its hard to close the side panel (barely closed mine). Solid Psu, but due to some of the wires being so stiff and long, its not the most ideal for a smaller Mid-tower. Removing 1 egg due to this issue.. Still a great Psu.

Overall Review: Lol nice little " gold Plus " certificate and little pouch to store all cables! lol. Here is my new Newegg Build. -Cooler MAster Storm Enforcer Case -ASUS P8Z68-V PRO LGA 1155 -Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (overclock soon) -CORSAIR Vengeance 4GB ddR3 1600 (adding 12 more gigs) -OCZ ZX Series 850W Fully-Modular 80PLUS Gold Psu -Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200 rpm ( GOnna buy 3tb soon) -EVGA GTX 560 Ti ( will use step-up program and get gtx 580 in 60 days)

Pros: Ran very well for a little over a year.

Cons: It exploded with a loud boom, (Like a .38 caliber pistol shot next to me) and went dead. Provided quite an adrenaline rush as I thought it WAS a gunshot. Did not damage computer otherwise as far as I can tell.

Overall Review: OCZ was easy to deal with and just shipped me a new unit so we'll see how that works.
