4 out of 5 eggsPretty nice HTPC keyboard

Pros: Wireless (Bluetooth)
Connects easily (XP)
Comfortable on the couch
Worked out of the box and works great for me
Newegg

Cons: Expensive
A little bigger than expected
No media keys/buttons

Overall Review: Writing this review with it the Adesso slimtouch is great for HTPC fans that don't mind the touch mouse format. The keyboard is adequate and the overall feel is solid. The lack of media buttons are the only real flaw hence the missing egg. I haven't really tried using it say 15 feet away which may be a problem for some, but for a small room 40" plasma HTPC setup it accomadates me just fine. Batteries were a nice touch. Can't wait to use it on 7. Newegg supplies me with almost all of my electronics, they are top notch, keep up the good work guys.

1 out of 5 eggsSame problem as the other poster, need to Pair all the time

Pros: Looks just like a laptop keyboard, its perfect for a HTPC, and decently built

Cons: You cant use this without pairing it with the computer every single time the computer is turned out.. defeats the whole purpose of wireless if I need to keep connecting a physical keyboard and mouse to log into windows then pair with the adesso keyboard.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS WITH THE PRICE THIS HIGH, and THE SUPPORT HAS NOT RESPONDED TO ME FOR WEEKS, I called and Emailed...

Overall Review: FAILURE!!!! (do they have a patent on these wireless keyboards, why does logitech not create one with this design.. i dont get it)

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Nice size and weight, I liked the mouse pad on the keyboard.

Cons: (Windows 7 Pro 32 bit) I was excited about this Kybd at first, but quickly got disappointed. Once you pair up this keyboard and get it working, then turn off the PC, come back later and turn on the PC, the keyboard is no longer connected. In addition, because it was loaded before, it will not pair up the second time unless you totally delete the keyboard in devices and go through the whole pairing process again. Totally not worth it, and a big pain in the rear end. A non tech person would totally hate this keyboard. I had to figure the above process out on my own as there was no help or FAQ about this on the mfg website.

Overall Review: Save you money and get a normal wirless keyboard that will not need to be installed everytime you turn on your PC.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth It... So far...

Pros: Bluetooth. can get this baby to go up to a range with no problems or lag from on side of my house to the other (about 50 feet). can type and use the touchpad with ease.

Cons: I dont know who keeps hitting the connect button but stop it... kindof stinks when i have to reconnect it after the 3rd time in a hour if someone hits the bad place for the pair button. wish they would have put in in the back or somewhere where you cant bump it.

Overall Review: For other people with range problems, are you: using the card it came with and if you are, are there any other devices in the house which could cause interferance. are you going through conctrete walls. will write back after 3 months to give better rating.

4 out of 5 eggsgood, but annoying sometimes

Pros: laptop-like buttons, low travel. Well, may be depends on the laptop, but pretty good feel for the keys. Good range. I don't know, looks good and works.

Cons: I use rechargable batteries, 1300 mAh, and it goes through a freshly charged set in about 2-3 weeks. I don't even use it too much. Seems kinda too often. May be it's me.
Setting up in windows is annoying, and every now and then you have to redo it. For some reason it just doesn't recognize it any more, until you reenter the code. That's the annoying part.

Overall Review: NOTE: I called adesso and ordered a second receiver and put in on my second computer, so I can control it from the bed. The idea was to bring the keyboard whereever I go around the house and have it work with the TV (with HTPC) or my main PC. But obviously you can only have it configured for 1 machine. If I configure it for the TV, it doesn't work with the other PC. And vice versa. So now, every time I switch rooms I have to reenter the f#kin code again.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent for HTPC use

Pros: Good battery life - only replaced batteries once in 6 months (and then realized it wasn't a battery problem, but someone unplugged my Bluetooth adapter!). No range problems within my basement, but the farthest I get is about 20' away. (Bluetooth adapter is on the back side of the HTPC in the cabinet, and the keyboard doesn't have a problem with it.)

Cons: A bit spendy. Tight key layout, but that's what makes it a small keyboard. I disagree completely with the Home/Delete/End/Insert placements - they seem randomly placed. I'd swap the Home and Delete keys to make it more functional.

Overall Review: No real customization options - trackpad sensitivity, touch sensitivity, etc. I knew this before buying, so it was a nonissue. (The sensitivity is just fine for me.)

This keyboard does not work (on my system) at POST, which I should have expected. No biggie, just have to drag a USB keyboard over when I need to play with BIOS. Have to disable the BIOS keyboard warning, though, or you won't boot up. :)

4 out of 5 eggsNice Keyboard

Pros: Good feel, good response, good battery life.

Cons: Having to turn the switch off when not in use to conserve the battery. Some keys feel somewhat cheap after extended use.

Overall Review: This keyboard is not for heavy use - but for occasional use with a media PC or internet surfing. It has been very dependable for the time I've used it (3+ months). As per other people's comments here, I've turmed the keyboard off after each use since I've had it and I've yet to replace the batteries. Even leaving it on overnight and using it the next day did not drain the batteries (as some have claimed). Just use this keyboard as it was intended; close proximity and turned on during use and off when not in use and you'll be fine.

1 out of 5 eggsdon't bother

Pros: compact, wireless, built-in touchpad

Cons: completely unreliable. after typing just a few characters and generates teXT THAt loOKS likE thIS.
The SHIFT-key get stuck. Sometimes it undoes itself. Other times, you have to press the SHIFT-key on the laptop to reset the SHIFT state; but then it gets stuck again when using this bluetooth keyboard.

Overall Review: pretty pathetic for such an expensive device and it doesn't even work

Cons: None to speak of! :)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: Perfect size, keys have nice feel, touchpad has scrolling section, lightweight, comes with receiver (which is nice and small. Highly recommend!

Cons: As a result of the size, some of the keys are in nonstandard locations, but I won't be using this for hardcore typing, so no big deal.

Didn't seem to work well with third party bluetooth receiver, but works great with included receiver.

Overall Review: I got this keyboard for my HTPC, and I use it with the included receiver from about 15 ft away, and I have 0 problems with dropped keystrokes or anything. It just works.

As far as touchpads go, the touchpad works well, and the vertical scrolling is a plus.

Note that I first used it with my ASUS bluetooth receiver, and I had all sorts of problems, but once I switched to the bluetooth receiver that was included with the keyboard, all the problems vanished. I also switched to the Microsoft generic Bluetooth stack from the WIDCOMM stack at the same time, so I'm not sure what fixed the problem.

The included receiver is super small as well, and doesn't look unwieldy whatsoever sticking out of the front of my HTPC in my entertainment center.

Long story short, if you are looking for a nice keyboard/mouse combo to use for your HTPC, look no further. I have been through 4 keyboards/mice for this PC, and they all had problems, but this one is perfect. I would highly recommend!

3 out of 5 eggsCorrect an Error

Pros: long life reliable keys, reconnects automatically after power off or sleep (after a short delay), scroll bar on touch pad .

Cons: must turn it off when not in use or batteries die over night, very short distance blue tooth adapter, no blue tooth profiles with adapter (must get headphone, lan, etc... profiles elsewhere if using XP (Windows 7 includes profiles), I had an older disc that worked). High price for a short range blue tooth adapter.

Overall Review: This is a re-review to be fair to Adesso. Apparently I needed to re-pair the keyboard before due to batteries dying. This is used on a mini pc with Atom 330 processor, SSD, and 100 watt power supply (Eg: power should not be the range issue with bluetooth).

2 out of 5 eggsSurprising Adesso BAD product

Pros: Keys are built to last. Bluetooth reconnect is good out of standby.

Cons: Battery life stinks. I've had to change batteries everyday since I've purchased this. Apparently there is no battery saving circuit. Thus after every shut down, I've needed to re-pair the keyboard to bluetooth, thereby requiring another mouse or keyboard. The bluetooth transmitter is lousy, no range, and no bluetooth profiles for other devices (you need to download generic device profiles if you use windows XP as they are not standard in XP).

Overall Review: I own an Adesso RF wireless keyboard on my HTPC and am happy with battery life and connection reliability. It is very dis-appointing this has not lived up to that level. The only reason I paid a little more for bluetooth was so I could hook-up my headphones, and pocket pc wirelessly. The range makes it average and the keyboard stinks as one needs to turn it off when not in use to save batteries and needs to re-pair it with every use.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: Ideal configuration for HTPC use. Nice having mouse and keyboard as a single unit.

Cons: Newegg claims this supports up to 100 feet however I'm luck to get it to work 20-25 ft away. Very disappointing. My old Microsoft Keyboard gets better distance. The distance is a real bummer because I want to use it throughout my house.

2 out of 5 eggsOk, not so good.

Pros: As my last review states, the keyboard worked great ... but

Cons: After a few weeks the keyboard would lose connection. Sometimes pressing the connection button would bring it back to life. But, over the course of a week, the keyboard would not respond at all.

Overall Review: I suspect the problem had something to do with the battery compartment. When the keyboard first started giving problems and the reconnect wouldn't work I could open the battery door and spin the batteries a bit and the unit would come back to life. Even from the beginning the batteries seemed to go in their bay way too easy. Only a hunch though, the problem could be something different entirely. It's a shame, I really liked this keyboard. Newegg had to issue a refund because there were no more available at the time when I shipped it back for RMA.

5 out of 5 eggsNice keyboard

Pros: I'm using this keyboard on my multimedia PC connected to my home entertainment system. The Windows XP SP2 setup was simple and straightforward. This keyboard is basically the bottom half of a laptop. There is a power switch located on the keyboard to conserve battery power when not in use.

Cons: None

Overall Review: It's a bit pricey but does the job nicely. The construction is lightweight plastic but seems durable. My old Logitech keyboard/mouse wireless combo had problems if I got over 6 feet away from my PC. This keyboard is responsive no matter where I am in the family room. Bluetooth is the only way to go for this type of application.

5 out of 5 eggslike it

Pros: two months into it, and so far so good. If it doesn't break, I am fine spending the $$. Be careful, I saw it on sale for 90 right after I bought it!
Nice low travel keys, almost like laptop.
Touch pad is responsive.
Range is really good.

Cons: Takes exactly 5 secs after you first touch it for the PC to recognze it and starts working.
I bought separately a second adapter and put it on my PC in the other room. I wanted to use it in both rooms. But it needs to be reprogrammed every time you wana use a different adapter. I guess I can't blame that on the KB.

Overall Review: i can afford the 100 bucks, but in all honesty cheap plastic like this should cost no more that 50$, in todays prices. But thanks to Mr Obbama and Mr Bernanke and Timmy Geithner soon even bread will cost 100 :)

1 out of 5 eggsSave Your Money

Pros: It's black and would make a good doorstop.

Cons: Part of an HTPC system I built for a family member. Paired up the kb and it seemed to work. Shipped the system. System installed. KB no longer links to the system. Tried uninstalling, re-pairing, etc. multiple times. 30 days up. So sorry.

One egg only because I have to.

Overall Review: The new Logitech RF K400 kb with Touchpad works beatifully.

2 out of 5 eggsdisappointing

Pros: easy to connect

Cons: Unreliable (mine died after 3 months... 19 days after the warranty).
Furthermore, it's a pain to use because if you're trying to uses normal single-key typing, it works fine, but key combo's (Alt+anything, win+anything), you've got to hit it with JUST the right timing or it doesn't register properly.

Overall Review: don't waste your money
