5 out of 5 eggsgood

Pros: Saved me a ticket in the first day of use (covered it's price and more). Detection power is good

Cons: The way the system is mounted on the front shield is fragile and could be better like common GPSs
When I used it first time it didn’t work and i thought its damaged while the issue was the power pin was not plugged fully.

Overall Review: I use the system on highway mode even while driving in the city because it gives more detection power, this however gives u allot of fake warnings because of cars the has remote control systems, but its better than weaker detection

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy!

Pros: Detects radars as its supposed to; (ones it has detected so far)
-Usual City police
-State Sheriffs
-"Speed Limit is XX MPH Your speed is XX MPH" Digital road signs
-And of course, any false alarms from convenience stores to those electric traffic road signs.

Lets you know when they're close, 1 to 3 red bars. 2 usually meaning you're a squint away from visual range. (At least from what I've experienced)

VG-2 protection is nice.

The "Quiet" button is very useful. It will beep once and wont repeat itself until a different detection.

Cons: Windshield mount could have been a little more secure. This detector comes with this small black piece of rubber to give better "stand off" balance against more slanted windshields. I found it incredibly difficult to put it through the windshield attachment. But it did give my detector a less "sluggish" look when finished.
The power plug was a little difficult to put through. Was afraid I was going to break my outlet. I use phone chargers and other devices from time to time without any problem, so this worried me a bit.
Does not remember settings, but pressing a button or two wont hurt if you can turn on your stereo blasting obnoxious music to annoy your neighbors/ other drivers. Also, would save you a ticket or two :)

Overall Review: Please note that in order to for YOUR detector to detect the cop, the cop must have HIS/HER radar (or other speeding detection device) ON.
[I've zipped by cops a few times without my detector going off. It wasn't on purpose, but I was not pulled over.]
Buy it! Save yourself a speeding ticket or two. But don't use it for speeding. Most people "accidently" have their foot on the pedal a few miles or so over the limit, the beep will keep you in check.

5 out of 5 eggsBE AWARE! THIS WORKS!

Pros: Detects cops that are looking to pull you over or driving around with lasers on. I have used many other speed detectors and this one is just as good as the best.

Cons: Detects things like car unlock switches thus it will beep when no cop is around but its got settings you can change to reduce this. Not every beep will be a cop, but it will make you watch out and drive slower!

Overall Review: I didn't want to spend a fortune on a laser detector then get pulled over for speeding I would have been mad.
Now its not going to save you from getting pulled over but it will warn you where cops are and when they set speed traps. Overall it is a superb laser detector and only requires operator to read manual and set settings when driver is on highway or city.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It works. I'm not sure what the high-priced detectors do that this unit doesn't. I get ample warning of radar.

Cons: While driving in town, I get false alwarms caused by "red"lights and alarm systems that are engaged by businesses. It's comical at times. It's a minor inconvenience. "In-town" driving shouldn't involve exceeding a speed limit by a lot, so I'm not worried about false alarms.

Overall Review: I drive 2 hours a day round trip. 90% on I-75 at high speeds. This is a simple unit to detect speed traps. Interstates were designed for high-speed driving, and I drive the max at early hours before the crowds arrive. Still, I want to be warned if a zealous radar trooper is around. This unit gives ample warning.

1 out of 5 eggsPuzzling

Pros: Nice size; Fit securely to windshield.

Cons: Worked fine for 3 days, then went out. Fuse appeared to be blown, so I replaced it. Long story, short...it blew 5 consecutive fuses, one right after the other. Each time I plugged it back in, the fuse would blow.

Overall Review: The manufacturer told me this was unusual, so maybe I just had a bad one.

1 out of 5 eggsWhat a disappointment

Pros: None

Cons: It didn't make any sound when I drove near a speed sign. When I saw the speed sign, it didn't make ANY sound. At the time the speed sign displayed my speed, it started to made a "beep", and that was all.......It was also silent when there was a cop with the gun speed on the road. When I was in his ranged, it started to made a "beep" again, and it was TOO late.

5 out of 5 eggsworks fine

Pros: I got this detector because it was cheap and had good reviews. It works fine and satisfies my curiosity about radar signals (intersections, speed signs, cops).

Cons: None yet.

Overall Review: I was just curious about where radar was in use in my town, and I drive by a sign that says "your speed is ..." every day so I figured I would get a cheap detector. It sees the radar from the speed sign from a long way off, and also sees radar at one intersection in town (?). I like being able to see when radar is in use.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: I was headed for a sitting squad car with his radar on and it detected him about 1/2 mile before I made visual contact. It also detected a squad car approaching me from the rear. The indicator lights are clearly visible, and the adjustable volume can go over my car stereo or be shut off completely. Works just as well as the $200 products.

Cons: Seems to pick up false positives in commercial parking lots.

Overall Review: An excellent device at an excellent price.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: It did what it was supposed to, Warning me about cops with there radars on.

Cons: Got stolen, I live on the good side of town too. :(

Overall Review: Most of you people writing reviews are thick headed, Cop cars dont send out a special signal or anything, this will ONLY pick up a signal if a cop is driving around with his radar ON! which most dont do. they have to have it on to ticket you anyway, so if you are sitting next to a cop and it doesnt go off, stop being dumb and thinking that its the products fault, its not.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty nice

Pros: 1. I haven't gotten a speeding ticket to date, using this product.
2. the police look at me when i go past them, because they know i know they are running radar.

Cons: the "f*** the police" sticker doesn't come with this model.

Overall Review: They should include a bumper sticker that says "if you can read this, i have a radar detector, and you should probably slow down."

3 out of 5 eggsno memory for settings

Pros: cheap and sensitive

Cons: does not remember settings

Overall Review: Every time you turn it on, the unit starts in the Highway mode with no VG2... Police uses VG2 to blind radar detectors, so having a detector with no VG2 may totally defeat its purpose. Therefore, using this model, you need to push couple buttons each time you start the engine! Needless to say, this is not very convenient but the item is useless otherwise. I would not buy it if I knew about this... Therefore, 3/5

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: none that i know of

Cons: random beeping for no reason
was going 110 mph and suddenly goes off. no cops around
was at an intersection with a cop beside me. smiled and waved at the cop and the detector was silent

Overall Review: purchased because there were 2 good reviews for it and seemed like a good deal

1 out of 5 eggsdetector?

Pros: don't have

Cons: I used it for about 2 weeks and it didn't work for me. What you expecting from detector for $35? I got a lot of false detecting or not detecting at all, even if it work, you will not have enough time to react.
Just do not speed. It's not only about ticket, it's about your life.

1 out of 5 eggsUseless: Don't Buy

Pros: There are not any

Cons: This radar detector is the worst radar detector out there. I just purchased it brand new and drove around with it throughout the holiday weekend and when approaching a cop, the radar detector would not beep until I passed the cop. There was a situation where the cop was sitting there on the side of the road with the radar gun clocking cars and I approached him and passed him and kept going and the detector was silent.

Overall Review: If you buy this detector, you will be in court with a speeding ticket...........You get what you pay for. Spend more $$$$$$$$

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Beeps when police radar is in range
Small

Cons: Beeps when driving past malls and supermarkets

Overall Review: My first radar detector. Seems to work well. If it beeps I look for a cop and don't usually see one, but it's a good reminder to slow down just in case. Definitely worth it so far, especially at the sale price (less than half the current price FYI)

4 out of 5 eggsHas paid for itself and then some

Pros: - Excellent on hwy mode
- Decent in City mode
- price was right ($35)

Cons: - in city mode lots of false positives, but that is to be somewhat expected

Overall Review: I didn't get this radar so that I CAN speed. I usually drive faster than the speed limit if I'm not paying attention. There's no doubt that this device has saved me from at least 3 tickets over the last year or so.

5 out of 5 eggsThis thing last forever!

Pros: Detect the signal from 2 miles away! It lasts for years.

Cons: it can't talk

Overall Review: My uncle bought this whistler for me when I was a senior in high school. Now I graduated from college and been working full time for 2 years. This thing still works! It's been in my car for 6 or 7 years, through snowy winter and heated summer, and still works.

The printed color on the casing faded after it's been on the sun for several years, but nobody really cares about that.
