Rating + 2 Last order of computers - New vs. Used

One of the computers we ordered from the carton appeared it was a refurb; it had been re-taped and other labeling was on it besides our shipping information. I spoke with the company and they said they do not sell refurbished, and if we sent it back and it was OK, they would not replace it. The computer itself came on right away and seemed fine however, so we kept it.

This company seems to have no issues lying to their customers and pocketing extra money paid for services they do not provide. I paid extra for 2-day shipping but, they only shipped it ground and did not bother providing any tracking information. When I did not receive the package on time, I questioned them about it and found out that they used the wrong shipping method, resulting in a 3 day delay. When I demanded a refund for the shipping, they refused and claimed that they would check with Newegg to verify if the package was delivered within an "acceptable delivery window." I later checked with Newegg, who had not heard anything from the seller regarding my issue, so their claim was nothing but a lie to get me off the phone. Do not trust this seller!

Rating + 1 Bad Business practice/Customer service

I would not recommended DATAVision for your purchase if you plan on contacting their customer service. They do not price match and hammer you with fees for restocking/returning. I must say though, they shipped the item fast and their customer service responded quickly. Overall, for the amount they would NOT price match its is a shame to lose a potential repeat customer. Poor business practice. If your going to sell through a large good standing retailer i.e. Newegg, play by the same standard / practices. I wish i read the seller reviews prior to purchase to save the grief.

Rating + 1 Do not buy from DataVision.

I placed my ordered from this vendor for 195$ because Newegg was out of stock at the time. Then i found a better deal and wanted to cancel my order. DataVision ignored the cancellation request, sent the product to my house. They was contacted for a return shipping Label. And again they ignored, this vendor has very very very poor customer service. I don't even think they have one. So buy from them at your own risk!!

Rating + 1 Terrible Customer Service/Bad Product on arrival

I ordered a 1TB WD Passport Ultra HD. The product was defective on arrival. I called WD to try and fix the device and they said I needed to send it back to the seller for a replacement. So I contacted newegg which in turn sent an e-mail to the company and they responded within minutes. So I tried to personally contact them again after this asking for an update on the return and never received an e-mail after that. They offered a full refund but guess what I had to pay $10 for shipping back to the vendor. They wouldn't e-mail a prepaid shipping label. So i expected a new product in return. Here they just refunded all my money and no new product. So in return I ordered an Item. Sent it back and had to pay $10 for nothing. What a waste of time and money. I don't recommend this company to anyone and recommend at all costs to avoid them.

-The only cons of it was that its' package looked like it was open already since it was taped. (Probably because it was the last one in stock)
-There is always a slight noise of static in the background.

Rating + 4 Was worried by ratings, but it worked out fine

After I ordered product, somehow I had missed that it was not from themselves, checked reviews of DataVision and became very worried. Product was shipped promptly, I received notification and tracking information promptly, product arrived as expected. Product was as described, appears to be new, all parts were present. The price was higher than I could have paid, but I guess I thought I was buying another product, my fault. So far, I have no reason to not recommend this seller.

    All products sold by DataVision contain a warranty directly from the manufacturer. Requests for returns for exchange or credit must be made within 30 days of receipt.
    Packages will not be accepted without this RMA number and will be returned to you via the designated carrier.

    Please mail back insured with a traceable method, and do not write ANYTHING on the mfg box..

    Below is a breakdown of policies and returnable items:.
    Defective within 30 days + Replacement = NO RESTOCK FEE.
    Defective within 30 days + Refund = 15% restock fee, we are happy to send another unit.
    No longer want within 30 days + Refund = 15% restock fee.
    No longer want within 30 days + Replacement = No restock fee if SEALED NEW in box.
    Damaged / Lost in shipping + Repair /Replace = No restock fee.
    Sent wrong item (seller fault) + Refund /Replace = NO restock fee, buyer pay NO shipping back to us.
    No returns for items beyond 30 days of the day buyer receives item.
    All returned merchandise will be accepted if all packing materials, including manuals, box, and warranty cards are enclosed. Returned merchandise for refunds are subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee..

    If there is concealed damage, it must be reported within 48 hours of receipt. Reports outside this window are uninsurable.
    -If you are refusing the delivery of the TV and it is undamaged, you are responsible for the shipping, handling, and insurance charges on the round trip
    Defective TV's larger thann 20" are repaired directly by the mfg. We can not return them. They are fully covered by the mfg and service is completed in the home.

Return Instruction
    1. Log onto your account and find your order in order history, click on 'Request RMA from Seller' Button next to the order information.
    2. On 'Compose Message Page', verify the order number you want to request return on the top of the page, choose 'RMA Inquiry' from the drop down menu, provide the item# (you can find on your order invoice e-mail) and the reason you want to return, and indicate you want to return for replacement or refund before click 'send message' button.
    3. Once our Customer Service Representatives receive your inquiry, it will take us 24 - 48 hours to respond to your inquiry.
    4. Once our Customer Service has verified your order information and approved for you to send the merchandise back to us, you will be provided with Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number for your return through e-mail. The e-mail contains RMA number, RMA details and important return shipping instruction. Read the instruction carefully before you ship your return merchandise back to us.
