4 out of 5 eggsseems good so far

Pros: great at what it does, picks up tons of stuff.

Cons: small waste bin

Other Thoughts: this has been great so far, but I let the GF use it and of course she ignored my pleas to empty the bin at or below the fill line when she was using it. otherwise, this is a great vacuum and sucked way more stuff out of the carpet than the carpet cleaner or old vacuum did. its actually kind of gross...

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: - low price (on sale and even regular price), you can buy two for the price of one portable Dyson...
- quite a bit of suction, supposedly better than Dyson uprights
- easy cleaning
- somewhat light
- corded so doesn't have lame 15-20 minute runtime of something like the Dyson DC45, important if this is your only vacuum
- has a good support website for getting accessories (popular enough to find some accessories from other places too)

Cons: - some kits come with car vacuum kits/hose attachments that are actually really essential. It's difficult to vacuum in tight spaces if you don't have a hose to attach to so you can maneuver just the attachment head piece
- corded, something like the Dyson DC45 makes more sense if this is your secondary/portable vacuum cleaner
- blows a bit of warm air around your operating hand but not really too bad

Other Thoughts: Did my research for small/portable vacuum cleaners for an apartment and saw this. Still works great after a year. It came with most of the attachments you'll need but you would want to get an additional mini vacuum kit (something with a flexible hose) if this is your main vacuum. Otherwise, it'll be hard to vacuum the interior of your car or under the fridge or inside your computer or any tight spaces. Overall, a good buy that I'm glad I made.

4 out of 5 eggsPowerful Compact Option

Pros: A powerful yet compact option to a full sized vacuum. Having a tiny apartment (sub 300sq ft), I stuck with a foldable carpet sweeper for a long time. This gives options of a normal sized and hand vacuum in one, taking up only about 18" x 18" x 24" of space when the motor is placed on the base for storage. Haven't tried the hanging storage method as I'm not allowed to install anything on the walls. The motorized brush head does a great job on carpet, and can turn it off for non carpet surfaces. The long cord is great, I don't have to continually switch outlets to finish the apartment. The attachments are handy, and usually keep them in the provided bag and hang on the long pipe when the vacuum is in storage.

Cons: It is a little workout to use at long intervals and if lifting overhead due to the motor being close to your hand. I'm no weakling, but I can imagine this being tough for someone with average to low upper body strength. When the motorized brush is going it will fight you a bit, understandably. I think of it as a bonus workout for my weaker arm.
Also, if you use this in a small space, wear closed headphones or earplugs. It is quite loud, especially in small spaces or if you are vertically challenged like me.

Other Thoughts: Powerful little beast I expect to keep even when I move to a larger space. Some people had concerns over the small container cup, but works fine for my small space. Besides, it is very easy to empty (open latch, dust falls out the bottom into the trash, close latch. No flipping or twisting to mess with.)

1 out of 5 eggsDead Shark Roller Brush Head

Pros: Good Concept

Cons: I bought this vacuum primarily to sweep or clean my hardwood floors. Cleaning my hardwood floors was the first task I took on with this item and with that floor attachment I found the vacuum worked just fine. Then I used the roller brush head on my carpeted floors, to try it for comparison to my Kirby. I had vacuumed for approx. 45 minutes to an hour when i noticed the roller head had stopped. After reading the provided owner manual I learned the unit, if it overheats, may stop working and will need to cool for approx. 30 mins before it should work again. I had finished anyway so I tried the vacuum the following morning. My roller head is dead. The green light on the roller head lights but the roller will not turn. I can move the roller by hand as it isn't locked up but the motor will not spin the brushes. So, day one and dead after a single use of 45 mins to an hour. What a rip off!

Other Thoughts: This vacuum touts a 5 yr warrantee, I hope that holds true and it's not going to cost me financially

4 out of 5 eggsThis thing sucks.. in a good way!

Pros: - A lot of power for an ultralight vacuum.
- Swivel head is great for maneuvering around objects
- Pieces (3 of them) come apart easily for customizing for each job.
- Line cut in the roller to cut away hair that gets trapped - highly convenient

Cons: - Size of the dirt cup is pretty small. With the amount of dirt and dust this thing picks up it needs to be emptied frequently. Luckily, it's fairly simple and quick to empty.
- That's about it for cons.

Other Thoughts: Got this on sale for $140. Awesome price - awesome vacuum.

5 out of 5 eggsShark HV301 Rocket Ultra-Lightweight Vacuum

Pros: Well this is the first time I am reviewing a product this soon after ownership. That said, it is because I have owned enough of vacuum cleaners that are both heavy uprights and canisters to be overall disappointed at the choices offered these days. Price does not necessarily mean a better/worse product although within certain price ranges, one can expect certain limitations and quality in construction of product. This one performs better than the canisters I have owned only because it is a lot lighter to use, the long 100'(?) cord is just marvellous because of less wear and tear of the product. Anyway, it comes with more attachments than one would expect to work with such a compact machine. It is not any more noisier than any other vacuum cleaner. If any one ever had a quieter machine, perhaps it would stand out as being noisy. First time I have ever vacuumed well, without hassles or delays (long cord and light machine) as well as able get under the bed that has about 3 inch from carpet to bottom of frame. Also under tables and around heavy wooden chairs without having to pull the chairs out because the unit for the carpet/floor does some swivelling to fit around those corners. No dust noticed that usually clog p my nose instantly, cool unit and easy to clean. Just have to detach the rod and empty over a trash can or into a paper bag large enough. The vacuum is strong enough that it even sucked p a whole lot of coarse pebbles I has periodically dropped from my bonsai/lucky plants when I move them around to water. T

Cons: None. If it qualifies for con it is because I notice some scratch lines along the side and a 1/4 inch crack at the left back end of the unit while doing the carpet. If this is a refurbished product, then I would be rightfully disappointed to receive it after paying for a new one.

5 out of 5 eggsWow...I was skeptical at first...

Pros: Really picks up the dirt that my older vacuum totally missed. My carpets actually after vacuuming with this Shark Rocket actually looked brighter and cleaner. I couldn't believe the amount of dust that was just sitting in my carpets. It came with plenty of attachments as well. There is a good size draw string bag that they provide which you can use to store these attachments. I only used the standard belt driven head. Vacuum cleaner was very light and did not feel heavy when using at all. The normal vacuum head operates like it was a bit self propelled forward, so that was nice, not having to push it any harder. I used the lower of the 2 settings and it works fine on my carpet cleaning. Also it was very flexible to move the vacuum head about and around things. Storing was easy cause they also provide a hanging bracket with two screws and plastic anchors if needed. Or you can store it disassembled. The pieces connect together easily and easy to disconnect them as well because it is well marked on the vacuum where to push to connect or disconnect it.

Cons: Minor con is that it fills up with dust rather quickly so you have to keep an eye on the fill level which is like a small container. Think like the size of a soup mug container size. But its clear plastic so you can see it and has marking on it for the fill level. Also you have to disconnect that dust container which is also connected to the long cord. So I would suggest you either get use to emptying it more often or bring a small plastic waste basket or plastic bag to empty the dust as you are vacuuming around the house. Not a big con.
