5 out of 5 eggsBasic keyboard, plug and play

Pros: I needed a basic plug and play keyboard when working on new PC builds and this was just what I needed. Something basic that works immediately when plugged in. No drivers, just plug and play.

Cons: None. At this price point, it does everything you could hope for.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: I've owned it for more than a year and it still works.
Dropped drinks and food on it, didn't damage anything.
Decent for the price.

Cons: Feels cheep, this thing is as light as a feather.
Pretty lackluster.

Other Thoughts: I just purchased a much more expensive keyboard, but this one isn't bad. It's good for the price and will make a safe back-up. A product lasting over a year with daily use that only cost 12$ is pretty good IMO.

1 out of 5 eggsLetters fade after one month

Pros: Feels nice to type with.

Cons: After less than one month of basic typing, half the letters are already faded and cannot be read anymore. This is a big no no as far as I'm concerned. I have other MS keyboards that have taken several years for letters to start fading, but less then 30 days is a sign of just how cheaply made this keyboard is. My advice is to simply stay away from it.

2 out of 5 eggsdissapointing

Pros: plug and play
works

Cons: have to press some keys harder to get it to register. As a fast typer, I am used to touching keys when typing. this keyboard makes it hard to type fast. I have to keep going back and adding the letters that were not registered.

Other Thoughts: would not buy again

5 out of 5 eggsLow Cost And Effective

Pros: A low cost keyboard - so I wasn't expecting a high end mechanical one. Despite a few reviews to the contrary, it works for me in Windows 8/ 8.1.

Cons: Nothing comes to mind.

2 out of 5 eggsIt's a keyboard... kind of

Pros: It makes letters and numbers most of the time.

Cons: Sticky keys that are horrible for repeating themselves. Shift key is the worst I have EVER used on any keyboard in the last 20 years or so.

Other Thoughts: OK if you type like a one fingered sloth, but even with my pitiful 65-80 words/minute there are a ton of "double strikes" and repeated letters. or it doesn't respond fast enough and it misses letters. Long story, short: double letters where you don't want them, single letters where you want doubles.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid affordable keyboard

Pros: Has a solid feel. Doesnt feel flimsy or cheap. Works flawlessly on Windows 7. Simple, straight forward keyboard, no additional features.

Cons: Windows 8 and 8.1 incompatible. Keyboard will shutdown every 5 seconds if a key is not pushed. Holding a key does not prevent it from shutting down.

There are two solutions to this issue.

First solution is to go into Device Manager, go to Human Interface Devices, keyboard will be a USB Input Device, right click one go to properties, go to Power Management Tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the device. (This solved the issue for me.)

Second solution, if the first does not work for you, is to go to Devices and Printers and open the properties on USB Keyboard, go to the Hardware tab, select Properties, then Change Settings in the General Tab, then go over to Power Management and uncheck the option to allow the computer to turn off the device. Be sure to also do this with the "USB Input Device" in the hardware tab. Either of them could be causing the issue.

The Device manager workaround fixed it for me. Hopefully one of those two options can solve your problem if you end up purchasing this keyboard!

Other Thoughts: Not holding the incompatibility against this keyboard since there is a way to make it work. Besides, this keyboard could have been made before Windows 8 was even a thing.

5 out of 5 eggsgood keyboard

Pros: - cheap
- comfortable

It worked well for over a year.

Cons: - it breaks easy.

I bought it for my younger brother, who -- in his rage -- tore it in half. Beware it isn't sturdy enough to prevent roid rage.

5 out of 5 eggsgood keyboard

Pros: Works great, no issues with keys. keys are easy to take out and clean. great price. not very loud.

Cons: To me it seemd like it gets dirty faster than other keyboards that I have had probably because of the surface of the keys and the way the keys are it makes it slightly difficult to clean when placed in.
