2 out of 5 eggsNot Ideal buttons

Pros: DPI switch is nice
multiple profiles
good weight
height change is easily changed

Cons: The ambidextrous style of the mouse makes it hard to hit the opposite side buttons. You have to basically throw your ring finger back and hit it with the side of your finger. Not ideal for Moba players. I personally play Dota 2 a lot and its not very comfortable plus its not quick enough in split second decisions trying to activate an item and clicking on a hero.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mouse

Pros: Outstanding general gaming mouse. Lots of customization options (the mouse height adjustment is genius). UPDATABLE mouse firmware! As if it's actually a real piece of hardware! Open design keeps you hand cool. Had big shoes to fill, replacing a Logitech G5 nearly 6 years old - did it with flying colours.

Cons: As mentioned in other reviews, the wheel is fairly far forward and low, but you get used to it fairly quickly. Paint rubbing off the side buttons after nearly 6 months of use.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very nice gaming mouse overall. The settings are customizable. It's comfortable to use for extended periods of time.

Cons: Taking off the cover to change the weight is a bit cumbersome, but the the mouse has a nice weight without needing a change so it doesn't bother me at all.

Other Thoughts: I got this for free when I bought the EVGA 970 FTW while it was available, but it is definitely worth a purchase and I will be buying another as a gift very soon.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Feels good, comfortable, nice box.

Cons: DOA.
Well it was free with something I bought on newegg. But once I plugged it in - Not recognized device in USB port. Poor quality assurance. I like EVGA. I have two EVGA MoBos - rock solid so far, but this is actually unusual....

Other Thoughts: Well, I am glad it's just a gaming mouse and not a $300-$400 MoMbo....

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Accurate, quality materials, laser, high DPI for a low(er) price, looks epic, weighty. I could keep going, but I'll jump into the more prominent points of my experience instead.

I use it on the arm of a chair, as I can't fit a desk in my place. It works extremely well, especially for the price range (good luck finding a 9k~ DPI mouse of any real quality for this price range). This is NOT a case of 'you get what you pay for'; you're getting a $100+ quality gaming mouse - for $65. The weight of it makes it pleasant to use, and the stainless steel bottom plate being extremely smooth has it gliding regardless of what's under it.

As for quality....it's fallen off the arm of my chair a number of times, several hitting the hard edge of a solid wooden table pretty hard (hard enough to crack the plastic of other items, which was the death of one of my mice). Worst that's happened is a few threatened heart attacks, burnt ears, and the top cover has popped off. Two seconds has the top cover back on with all being right in the world once more. This has gone on for over 5 months now, and there still isn't so much as a scratch on the covering, or any sort of wear on the top plate's tabs.

It takes very little movement to register a mouse click or wheel scroll. I haven't been kind to this mouse with how often I click it - several of the games I play tend to require a little under 20 clicks per second (halfassed guesstimate of an average) for extended periods. After owning a few other gaming mice, they've usually had some sort of difference in either feel or accuracy by now. One burned out after 4 months of use. No difference here. Still as fresh as when I took it from its crib.

Afterthought - the braided wire holds up pretty well to encounters with a floor cleaner. No fraying or breakage. Pretty sure I should feel bad for knowing this.

Cons: The directions aren't clear on how to work this mouse. Even looking at them closely it took a bit to figure out that the top cover does NOT lift as they seem to imply. You push it forward from the back, it slides a little and pops loose, then you lift it off (reverse gets it securely in place again). Minor, but was a bit annoying given that I was unnecessarily fearful of breaking this thing - seriously, this isn't plastic. Beyond that the directions aren't even needed.

Two of the LED colors are a little off in color. The selection is red, green, blue, what I take as yellowish green or light green, and what I take as a yellowish orange..honey-ish color. I believe it's because these two colors are using multiple LEDs to achieve the tone. Not something I care about really since I stick with red, blue and green, but I'm sure someone would use such a menial point as a deal breaker.

Wired, but hey, it says it in the specifications. Duh. At 6ft long with a solid braid - I don't really care.

Other Thoughts: I found two of the 'extra features' of this a little pointless since the quality of the mouse renders them that. The pads they provide for the bottom plate to make it slide easier are just...pointless. It does just fine without. The weights make very little difference. Sure some might nitpick a few grams' difference. Me? I tossed in the heaviest and left it at that. Feels good and weighty either way, without being a hindrance. To try and better portray the general weight - heavy enough to feel quality, light enough to be very easy to maneuver.

It was a little odd to get used to the DPI adjustment switch being -right- at the base of the wheel. Namely because it's pretty sensitive (like all of the other switches on this mouse). Not a bad thing mind you, just took some trial, error, and wondering why my gun sights suddenly became sluggish in the middle of a fight. Now that I'm used to it the placement and sensitivity is awesome for response times. Which yes, if you switch between multiple applications, you will likely be changing the DPI.

Just a final thought - the mouse wheel's texture had me concerned when I first saw it. Looks like a deep treaded 4 wheeler tire. It's not quite as prominent as it looks, and they help with the tactile sense of just how much the wheel has moved. Plus the wheel itself is metal, so it is not at all hard to feel when it's moved a notch (I've found mice with excess rubber dampen that).

1 out of 5 eggsUnfortunate bummer =/

Pros: Laser smooth and accurate. Downloadable software is nice. mouse sensitivity buttons were a plus.

Cons: Ergonomically this mouse was a major let down. cramped my hand after a couple hours gaming. I realize that it is an ambidextrous mouse, but i didn't realize it would be so awkward. Tried all the adjustments and such. Mouse might not be bad if you have big hands. Another thought: the pinky finger buttons are useless (no matter if you are R or L handed).

Other Thoughts: I am a HUGE fan of evga graphics cards and that is what enticed me to try an evga mouse. I don't think they did enough testing before they decided to launch this. If anyone from evga reads this, I hope they take it back to the drawing board and realize, someone who wants a high end GC also wants a high end mouse, and that is what you should put your name and reputation on. Make R (and left?) handed mouses with more thumb buttons and your already high quality parts and you will have a winner. Lastly, I will continue to buy EVGA vid cards, they are absolutely solid!

5 out of 5 eggsawesome card!

Pros: Finally back to Nvidia after a painful 4-year stint with AMD cards, and I think I picked an excellent card. I was initially looking at the ASUS Strix, but in the end decided to opt for the EVGA FTW 970. EVGA made the decision easy by clocking it so high, and offering a free backplate promotion (which is something I really loved about the ASUS card). EVGA also took it a step further and released a BIOS update that adds 0db when idle to this card, which is icing on the cake at this point.

Been running the card a few days now in my new build and it's running awesome! Excellent temperatures and the card is very quiet. I expect the fans to last a long time since they're supposed to be higher quality (ACX2.0), and because half the time they aren't going to be spinning anyway, so there wont be any dust build up. Also I think I got very lucky because my card doesn't have any coil whine. Knock on wood of course.

Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. Don't forget to inquire about the free backplate. The promotion is for a limited time so don't wait.

Cons: I guess the only con would be that the backplate promo is limited time only. People who get this card after November 10th aren't going to qualify, which is a shame. But still, EVGA are doing their best and I gotta give them credit for that.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mouse

Pros: I have been playing PC games for a long long time and over the years have used a multitude of different mice and this one is by far my favorite. It is very comfortable to use. It's nice and light (which can be changed) but feels substantial. And it doesn't hurt that it looks good too. Good quality cable attached as well.

Cons: The teeny tiny manual it comes with requires an electron microscope to read....and that wasn't included in the package

Other Thoughts: Seems to me that if you want a good gaming mouse with some pro options and looks good sitting on your desk then this one is as good or better than any other offered at newegg.

2 out of 5 eggsCan't R T F M, no M

Pros: great feel, great looks (even the cable to the mouse is impressive), good features(tools included), and dedicated tech support (the people on the front line anyways). Considering what the support agents to had to work with, they were fantastic (lee and tim ).

Cons: No manual at all. Neither website, nor tech support could provide a manual. Yes, I realize a mouse does not require directions but this one does especailly the using the software.
On another issue, button 6 is set to "Disable" but it's definitely not disabled and sometimes gets in the way.

Other Thoughts: Let me write this part in business-eze. For this particluar business transaction(mouse purchase), your profit margin disappeared and became a loss due to the tech support call. The agents did their best (see Pros:) on everything I brought up. All is not lost because the second agent might have convinced me to buy a z97 stinger or "classified" motherbord so this transaction may eventyally be profitable.

4 out of 5 eggsVery hard to click

Pros: Feels solid right out of the box
Looks nice, customizable LEDs
Mouse wheel is a bit stiffer than most, but I like that
Ambidextrous, AKA 2 extra other side buttons

Cons: Takes a lot more force to click, and the space between top and bottom of the click is very small
Top cover to adjust weights has to be taken off at a certain angle or the brackets will break
Opposite side buttons pressed very easily
No real comfortable grip, guess that's ambidextrous mice for you
