How much force is needed to click with the scroll wheel? Is it light or does it take some force?

I've had the mouse for about 4 months now and I love it. As far as the actuation force for the scroll wheel, it takes about twice as much force as a typical mouse. It does not have horizontal scrolling either, if that's important to you. The wheel itself is nice and wide, and fully coated in no slip rubber coating so its easy to press. Basically its designed to be easy to click when you want it to, but won't accidentally scroll or click if you don't want it to.

Are you able to cycle through profiles with a mouse button without the software installed? (or just the dpi?) For instance, if I configure the mouse on a machine with the software, can I plug it into another machine w/o the software and cycle through the different profiles. Like say at a LAN event.

I think you can still change the profiles without the software, but it will be whatever the default setting is for that profile. Which I think is essentially just a DPI +/- difference between them, and different scaling for the DPI +/- button. Also the different colors. I think one of the default profiles also has a different button setup, like rapid-fire or different response times (hertz) for the buttons.

My current mouse's wheel isn't very defined, making it go backwards once in a while when I scroll forwards. Does the Havoc have this issue/how defined is the mouse wheel?

I have never had any problems with the wheel. Over all I any happy with this mouse. The only thing I don't like is how the tactics multiplier key sits right behind buttons four and five. It took me a bit to get use to.
