4 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Pros: Way better signal then my built in wifi on my desktop.

Cons: Windows wipes the drivers sometimes. Keep a thumb drive handy with the drivers or keep the cd handy. I have had to reinstall the drivers twice in 1 year. Drivers say windows 8, but worked on my windows 10.

Other Thoughts: This has worked good, but I think I will go with Netgear next time. I had a TP link Router that stopped working on me, and the Netgear one is more then 8 years old and still working.

2 out of 5 eggsNo Windows 10 drivers for version

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Pros: Cheap and works consistently in XP Pro.

Cons: *** NO WINDOWS 10 DRIVERS. *** The OEM states on their website as of this review (04/15/16) that there is no Windows 10 support for V1 but there will be for V2 in the future. I am unable to determine which version I have from a very thorough inspection of the physical product. Nor, have I been able to find version identification instructions on the OEM website. Also, when I originally installed this on XP Pro, I had to wrestle with the driver a bit but I did finally get it to work.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend.

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Pros: Had this with the cradle that it came with for nearly 6 months. Several computers and operating systems with the router at the other end of the house. Never a problem.

Cons: No cons

Other Thoughts: When I do my next installation, this is the one I'll get.

5 out of 5 eggsSo Far So Good

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Pros: plug and play with Ubuntu 14.04. I tried several other models and brands, but this was the only one that was highly recommended for this Ubuntu version. I'm happy so far.

Cons: if I had to complain about one thing, it would be the size.

Other Thoughts: if you're looking for a usb wireless adapter for your Linux Ubuntu 14.04, look no further. plus you can't beat the price.

2 out of 5 eggsnot supported on Windows 10 yet

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Pros: Easy to install, range seems good

Cons: Only supported up to windows 8.1, no windows 10 driver on the support site as yet, no ETA either
The default setting will put it sleep to conserve power, you need to toggle that in device management

Other Thoughts: Would be great for those not on Windows 10. As is, the device seems to randomly disconnect (packet loss?) and reconnect, even after I changed the power settings. It's my own fault to not notice the incompatibility, but the product page does a good job of coloring over that. Will pitch it to one side until Windows 10 while I shop for something else... Not the worst $ I ever wasted but still annoyed

5 out of 5 eggsGood, Cheap Wireless-N USB Adapater

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Pros: I moved my computer into a different room and could no longer plug into my FiOS router with ethernet, so I bought this cheap USB WiFi adapter. I wanted an adapter with an external antenna, and I also bought the matching UC100 cradle. The cradle has a short USB extension cord which allows me to place the WiFi adapter high up on my desk instead of sticking out of a back panel USB port on my tower. I have had no issues with this, both with Win7 and Win10. I use this TL-WN722N to connect to a Verizon Actiontec MI424WR.

Cons: No problems encountered.

Other Thoughts: I would both recommend this product and buy it again, though my next motherboard will probably have built-in WiFi.
