Is the keyboard on this computer backlit? How long does the battery last on a single charge - on average? Does it have a CD drive? What country is Acer in?

I think acer is based in korea (google to be sure) The keyboard is backlit there is no optical drive the computer lasts me approximately 8 hours before being critically low when on battery I usually just type and surf the internet, usually connected wirelessly but sometimes tethered to my phone via USB. I am incredibly satisfied with this laptop, for the cost it cannot be beat (keep in mind it's a business grade machine and not a consumer grade machine). Any further questions just post them.

Yes- there are 3 USB 3.0 ports. This laptop is a screamer. It boots to windows 7 in about 7 seconds. Very fast and a really good solid machine.

The specs specify the following: "Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (available through downgrade rights from Windows 8 Pro)" Does this mean it'll default to Windows 8 Pro on first initial startup or is it already going to load Windows 7?

Whats the condition? Is it new or refurbished?

Can you change the laptop's screen resolution from 1920x1080 to 1366x768 by using the computer’s "Screen Resolution Setting"?

there is a list of options as long as my arm (thanks to the discrete graphics), 1366x768 is one of those choices. I had the same concern but now that i own the notebook I find I am getting used to the 1080 resolution (the IPS panel helps with this, very good contrast and very clear)
