1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Customer Service

Pros: o Good looks
o Benefits of expandability
o Good cooling in-class

Cons: o Loud pump
o Block prone to leaking
o Worthless Warranty

Other Thoughts: I was an early adopter of this cooler, and I wasn't disappointed, as it provided great cooling, looked good in my box, and was only a little too loud. I was a happy customer... Until the block leaked all over my motherboard, ruining both the board and the cooler. I got in contact with Cooler Master the beginning in October of 2014 to start the RMA process. It is now June of 2015, and I am still trying to close out my RMA. They admitted immediately that the cooler was bad, but to cover the board they would have to do some tests. Somewhere in testing my board was lost even though I kept being told that it was really just a question of the testers all being on Christmas break. When the loss was finally admitted at the beginning of February, I was told that I would have to take either a model that is just as prone to failure, or a model of reduced value. I took the reduced value cooler, and was ok with that. I got the cooler in April (Seven months later) but it was a stocking issue, and I am not too upset about that. The Motherboard is what I am upset about. To this day, I have been promised many times that the "check is in the mail" only to find out that it wasn't sent, but will be now that I had brought it back up. We are nine months in, and three months of promised checks to replace my motherboard, and still nothing. Buyer beware of Cooler Master, as if something happens to your equipment, no amount of warranty will actually cover your losses in any type of timely manner.

2 out of 5 eggsTwo different units both leaked.

Pros: Amazing performance. Kept my i7-4930k at an average of 70c under full load at 4.8GHz... an extremely high overclock for that CPU.

Cons: The first one I owned started making a strange noise from the pump so I opened the case and saw that it was leaking. luckily I removed it before it damaged any other components. Sent it back for an RMA and the replacement started leaking as well after a few months and this time it damaged the motherboard . The RMA process has been over a month, extremely slow. It took them two weeks from the day my damaged goods arrived at their warehouse to determine that the cooler was in fact leaking and that the motherboard was in fact damaged.

Other Thoughts: Although the RMA process was very slow they did reimburse the full amount for the damaged motherboard and sent me out a CM Glacer instead since I wasn't having much luck with the Eisberg

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsPump Failed!

Pros: Right now I can't thing of many. It kept the CPU cool, but wasn't amazing or anything.

Cons: After 6 month of ownership the pump motor failed during the night and overheated my CPU. So now I am out a 4770k and a cpu cooler.

Avoid this product if possible! There is no reason for the pump to fail so quickly.

Other Thoughts: While it looks cool and has potential, I just can't believe the pump was such a failure.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsLeaks - Stay Away!

Pros: None that I can see. I tested several water coolers and two air coolers for Intel LGA 2011 chip and saw little difference in overall cooling ability.

Cons: After 5 months, the device started to leak and destroyed a $500 RAID card. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCE. I

Other Thoughts: Buy an air cooler. You can get a very good one for under $30 dollars as apposed to $179 for this device and the air coolers only run a few degrees hotter. These devices are not worth the risk of leaking.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Cooler!

Pros: Quality, Looks and Cooling Power. Made of Copper!

Cons: Large and hard to install without help, intel mounting solution for all except LGA2011 was garbage.

Other Thoughts: I bought my Eisberg 240L used for 125$. I've had it on LGA 775 (q9650 @ 4ghz) and on my LGA 2011 (3820 @ stock) it now resides on my LGA 1155 (2500k @ 4.5ghz) always kept my components cool, under 75c under load on my hot q9650.
I didn't like the mounting system ended up using a different backplate I had laying around with Phobya universal m4 cpu mounting kit. stock mounting seemed chincy.
I have read the horror stories about leaking coolers. I personally like to run the unit by itself ( have an old ANTEC psu with a jumper adapter to power it) for at least overnight to see if any leaks occur.
With my gerry rigged high pressure mounting system and 2 NZXT FX 120LB pushing through it my OC'ed 2500k @ 1.35 vcore never heats up past 60c using IntelBurnTest! Overall one of the best AIO coolers on the market.
However.... if your going to spend this kind of money on a AIO cooler you might as well get the EVGA Hadron Hydro Watercooler kit and build one yourself, it doesn't come with fans and you'll have to build and prime it. I assembled it out of the case and ran it for 24hr to test for leaks. If you have enough room for the Eisberg you'll only need a little more for the EVGA (pump was placed in the extra space in my cd/dvd drive bays) and the cooling performance was substantially better and the EVGA quality was superb.
All in all I probably would buy another Eisberg 240L if the price was right and I had enough in my budget for better fans and the better mounting kit. (FYI good price for me was 125$ for the pre-owned cooler and 37$ for 2 x high performance fans and the Phobya mounting kit.)
But if you talking new... your better off getting the EVGA and 2 good fans. With the quality and expand-ability of the EVGA you'll spend the same money and have the "Custom Water Cooler" bragging rights lol
Anyway that's my 2 cents.

2 out of 5 eggsA Year of Quality Before Failure

Pros: - Good cooling
- Easy installation
- Aesthetically pleasing

Cons: - Noisy
- Low quality of build

Other Thoughts: I purchased the Eisberg a little less than a year ago and enjoyed how relatively painless the installation was. My i5-4670k never exceeded 40 degrees Celsius, even under load. However, on the 29th of this past July my Eisberg pump failed after less than a year of operation. While the noise was something I could overlook (given the nature of liquid cooling solutions), the quality of parts seemed to be short of expectations from the beginning. The minor wear-and-tear on the product that was present upon unpacking, lackluster mounting hardware, and the now apparent unreliability suggests a low quality of build.

Hopefully I can salvage something from my purchase through the manufacturer's warranty.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Cooling!

Pros: -Low Temperatures
-Expandability
-Copper radiator
-Strong pump
-Build quality

Cons: No Backplate is the biggest issue, if there was I believe a lot of these reviewers would have a change of heart. It was convenient not to have to remove the motherboard but it takes time to actually get enough torque on the push in brackets to mount the CPU block well enough to get full contact with the CPU.

Other Thoughts: I believe this is the best CLC you can buy besides maybe a H320. I get results similar to full loop cooling. This destroys my corsair H80.

This is the way to go as it's expandable.

1 out of 5 eggsHard to install, fragile, manual unclear, not worth the money

Pros: Works decently, even with only 1 fan. I would imagine it works better with 2, but I'll probably never know.

Cons: Fans and pump are loud. What's the point of having a water cooled system if the water cooling is louder than the rest of the fans on my system? Even with the fans off, the pump emits a pretty high pitched ring. One of the fans was DOA, which is a huge shame considering it took me like an hour to install this thing. If you don't have a large case, I suggest going with a different water cooler. The manual is very unclear, pictures are small, some screws are similar and there is very little in the diagrams to differentiate between them. It's hard to even tell which is the fans vs the radiator in the diagram, and you're done if you get it backwards, because you'll puncture the radiator and be out nearly $200. The install was really hard, as well. You've got to go through your case, the fans, a rubber gasket, and THEN into the radiator. You'd better not have the wrong screw, because again, you'll puncture the radiator and not know it until it's too late. Why? Because you can't see the end of the screws you're putting in, and there's very little to screw in, anyway. I feel like the whole thing is just going to fall off into my case one day due to the screws vibrating loose.

Other Thoughts: Unless you're extremely skilled with these things, get a different water cooler. This thing is an overpriced, fragile, headache waiting to ruin your day.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Brian R,

We apologize for the trouble that you are experiencing with the Eisberg 240L. The Eisberg does come with a 2 year warranty. We can ship you a replacement fan for free since the fan that came with the kit is defective. The pump dba is actually quite comparable to other pumps on the market. If it is too loud for you then we suggest using the molex adapter to decrease the pump RPM.

Please contact us for further trouble shooting.

3 out of 5 eggsExactly what i was expecting

Pros: Keeps very good temperatures while gaming. Looks good. Good build quality. Can be used to cool more than the CPU with a custom loop. The included fans are alright but i would replace them with better fans if you are planning on overclocking.

Cons: A little bit loud when powering it with 12V.

The mounting hardware that came with my cooler was either the wrong size or there is a design flaw. The mounting screws are way to long. I had to shim them to make sure they don't go right through the radiator.

Other Thoughts: I will still give it a 3/5 because of the build quality and the looks, but i am very disappointed with the mounting hardware. Again i am not sure if they sent me the wrong hardware but i was very surprised by the length of the screws. They were long enough to go right through the radiator with the fans and the rubber grommet.
