Dect 6.0 PLUS
Dect Plus technology takes the superb sound quality and outstanding range of DECT 6.0 phones to a whole new level. By increasing the frequency of error correction up to 80x, the transmission quality is improved and the phone's range is extended. Engineered to work in 1.9GHz frequency, our DECT 6.0 phones won't conflict with common wireless devices such as 2.4GHz routers, wireless keyboards and mice, microwave ovens and other household items. And because it's digital, you'll enjoy long range and clear sound while deterring eavesdropping.

Intelligent Eco Mode
This clever new feature automatically lowers the power consumption when you're using the handset close to the base unit. Not only does it extend the available talk time, it's good for the environment. When less power is used by the handset to communicate with the base unit, battery life is prolonged which results in less frequent charging and can result in fewer batteries in landfills.

1 out of 5 eggsBatteries

Pros: none

Cons: It is important that you understand that my comments are directed to Panasonic, not Newegg. I have been buying from Newegg since the company was in it's infancy, and have never had a complaint.
This review is an addition to my previous comments.
The batteries that come with the phone are only 500 mAh batteries. I charged them in a stand alone charger, checked their output with a digital meter, checked at 1.36Volts. When I installed them into the phone the battery indicator read 1 bar, and read "charge for 7 hours". I then installed 1800mAh batteries, and the display still read the same, 1 bar, "charge for 7 hours."

1 out of 5 eggsBuy something else

Pros: I bought this because it was Panasonic.
My previous phone was Uniden DECT 6 with similar features. The Uniden was far superior. It was louder, clearer, much more attractive, more user friendly and had a lighted keypad. It cost $44 at the country's largest retailer.

Cons: Volume on speaker and handset are weak. The keypad is not lighted. It is not attractive. It feels cheap. The ring tones are all weak, and none are desirable. The phone must be laid on it's back because if laid on the front the clear plastic will get damaged making the display difficult to read. It is NOT user friendly. The menu is awkward, and requires the user to press more buttons than is necessary on other phones.

I will not return it to newegg, but will never use it. I will give it away as a present, or try to sell it for about half of what I paid for it.

Other Thoughts: Panasonic makes some good phones, but this is not one of them.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Phones

Pros: Excellent sound quality. Easy set up with a multitude of options. Belt clip is really useful, especially when I'm in the garage.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Wish I had bought the model with 4 handsets. I have an older Panasonic model that is 10+ years old and haven't had a bit of trouble the entire time.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great, less filling

Pros: Great phone, works find and had an easy setup menu for an older woman. This phone was for my 67 year old mom. She really liked the fact that it had bigger numbers on the buttons and not a million button to work the answering maching. So far she is really happy. Happy mother means less naggerey.

Cons: Buying it sooner and saving me from a few weeks of complaints.

Other Thoughts: Thanks again Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Phones!

Pros: Great sound quality, appearance is nice, setup is very simple!

Cons: The ring tones are a little odd. But there was one that I liked. There just wasn't one ring that sounded like a normal "phone ring sound". But, one of them was close and not annoying, so that worked for us!

5 out of 5 eggsLove these Phones ! ! !

Pros: Large digit numbers. Adjustable Ear volume, Adjustable ringer volume. *** Very similar to using a cell phone ***

Cons: Non yet... but if its like my last Panasonic phone... 0 cons

Other Thoughts: I love Panasonic phones. My last phones just died. I have had them for around 7+ years. They are very user friendly. Just give it about 1 half hour or less and you will have it set up with ring tone, volume, answering machine.

4 out of 5 eggsGood choice, great price

Pros: Range is good, call clarity is excellent. Nice feature of being able to call the other handset, but not something I use much.

Cons: Shape of phone handset is a little bit rounded on the back to my taste, making it easy for my hands to slip off. The plastic surface is somewhat slick, though normal for cheap electronics. A couple of inlaid rubber strips would be really nice for grip.
