Required for some newer games like Wii Sports Resort or Red Steel 2. YEs this does make the Wiimote more accurate and registers more axis of motion. Cons: This should have been part of the Wiimote when it was first released. Not alot of games yet support the Motion Plus Other Thoughts: It's a necessary evil as a serious Wii owner. More and more newer games will require the Motion Plus. And on the newer games, the old flick your wrist around instead of really mimicking the motion won't work anymore. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. Did you? You can really notice the improved functionality in Sports Resort, as compared to Wii Sports. If you don't mind spending $20 or so for this then you won't be disappointed. Cons: Had to pay for it. Few games use Motion Plus. See other thoughts. Other Thoughts: I gave this device four stars because it's kind of gimicky, like all these Wii accessories or kind of gimicky. Not that they don't work as advertised or improve some functionality but because there are so many unnecessary accessories that it feels like Nintendo is trying to milk the consumer. 6 out of 6 people found this review helpful.
