This review is from: Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Nintendo 3DS Game
Pros: -Final Fantasy music is fantastic, and with so many games in the series to draw from Nobuo Uematsu master peices, a rhythm game based on the music seems like a no brainer.
-The cut-scenes are just like you remember. I was very impressed by the quality of the FF13 cut-scene specifically, it was just like I remember on my HD TV.
-The control scheme is refreshing, not just up, down, left, right or button presses, they really mixed it up. There are a few times where they can get frustrating though (see below)
Cons: -I feel like they missed some of the better FF songs, but maybe I just haven't unlocked them yet, so I can give the benefit of the doubt.
-The swipe actions can get tedious on the harder songs (I swipe left, the game doesn't agree). This maybe because I'm not using the correct "Technique" though, so not a deal breaker.
-No download play for multiplayer (I'm really disappointed about this one). The game has two save slots, but you're not going to be able to share it with anyone and be able to play with them.
Other Thoughts: Fun game, any Final Fantasy Music fan should pick it up for sure.
-Replayability remains to be seen. I just started unlocking songs, which was a surprise, so we'll see how that goes. There's also DLC that you can get. A song for 0.99 I believe.
