3 out of 5 eggsGet what you pay for...

Pros: Bought it for the 5ghz and it was an easy install and works out of box on windows 10 pro 64bit.

Cons: Weak Antenna, my router is less than 7ft away sometimes its running 40Mbps on speedtest.net and sometimes 8 or 10Mbps
My old wireless g card got a steady 26Mbps and my ethernet gets 90Mbps

Other Thoughts: I tried using the drivers on the cd and no improvement
If it doesnt fix in a couple days im returning it and just gonna run the wires for less hassle
and will drop the 3 egg to 1 egg

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with the TEW-726EC. If you have not done so already, try using a different channel and see if get a more stable connection. Your wireless access point/router defines your wireless network parameters. Please also ensure that the antennas are securely seated to the adapter and that they are not near anything that may cause radio frequency interference.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected

Pros: Very easy install and easy setup. Price was great as well!

Cons: Not really a con so I will put my thoughts below...

Other Thoughts: This little unit has worked great for over a year now. No hassle setting up or installing. One thing I noticed is that it can be somewhat sensitive to receiving wireless signal. It never drops or has issues like that but if my set my computer on my desk it gets full strength. Move it to the floor and I lose 2 bars. Even though there is nothing obstructing the signal besides the computer being 2 feet lower. Not a con and not a big deal but maybe something to watch or think about...Overall. it's worth the money and doesn't take up any USB ports

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Card

Pros: -Easy to Install
-Two Antennae
-2.4 gHz+5 gHz
-Strong and Seamless Connectivity
-Very Affordable

Cons: -Included CD drive disk has too much included crapware
-Unsure if Windows 10 is supported yet. It's the only component on my tower that is keeping me at Windows 7 until I know for sure

Other Thoughts: -I live in a 4000 sq ft. house build in 1899, built out of plaster and chicken wire. We can't even get cellular service at many points in the house.
-My router is on the first floor at one end of the house, and my room is on the second floor, on the opposite side of the house relative to my router.
-Still a very strong connection, I hover at between 4 and 5 bars all the time, with a ping anywhere between 15 and 25 ms.
-For 30$, you cant go wrong.

5 out of 5 eggsFully satisfied

Pros: Easy to install
Easy to configure

Cons: No

Other Thoughts: Not much of other thoughts. It is the first network interface able to detect all the capacity of my 3 WIFI routers. I am satisfied, very satisfied.

1 out of 5 eggsugh.

Pros: Fairly affordable for a dual band wifi adapter

Cons: I was pretty upset to find out that my wifi adapter was a total dud. It picks up and connects to my router without a hitch but it still doesn't work. I've tried installing every driver and reseating the card but to no avail. I think I'll stick with the big brands from now on since trendnet let me down with a huge headache

Cons: None

2 out of 5 eggsTempermental

Pros: Basic, no-frills adapter. Decent size.

Cons: Schizophrenic behavior would basically define this NIC. It connects, but pings go from 20ms to 500ms in fits and spurts. All over the place. A laptop right next to it pinging google on it's built-in wifi is rock solid. Seems to have trouble maintaining a connection with certain brands of consumer routers. So far with two different brands of Comcast router it just decides to call it quits.

Included software is useless and redundant.

Other Thoughts: Why WHY can't one company make a competent internal N wireless adapter? We don't need your included garbage-ware wireless util, we just need it to work consistently and for more than a month before it goes into a landfill. Suck less hard. Really. Please.

4 out of 5 eggsAlright...

Pros: Basically works as intended...barely have any interruption with this thing and it was very easy to install and get set up.

Cons: The wifi range on this thing might be a minor problem to some people that need to connect to a router that's inside a bigger building.

Other Thoughts: This card is pretty much all it claims to be
