How much does it weigh?

As is said in the Specifications tab at the bottom of the General (information) section, the computer weighs 7.1 pounds.  Based on what I have experienced with the machine, I would guess that is about right.  Not a bad weight for what you receive in this powerful little package.

does this come with microsoft package for microsoft word, excell and outlook?

It does not, or perhaps I didn't notice it. That is, I had a download for that already available to me from purchasing it separately in May. Sorry I couldn't help more surely.

Can I use an ethernet jack?

I would think it should.  This computer was actually for my wife (she's very happy with it) and current setup is wireless at home and when traveling...but according to the specifications it appears to have a regular RJ-45 Ethernet connection.  Unfortunately pictures don't seem to show it....but if you look the computer up on Acer's website, it says YES to an RJ-45 network port.

Question 4

Is this a good computer for basic office work?  I am a Realtor and really only use it for basic stuff, I have an external hard drive so I store most everything on that....

This one was adequate for our needs, but it had a faulty hard drive out of the box. When they fixed it, they installed some annoying bloatware which we had to clean up. Only one of the usb ports seems to work - not sure if it's missing driver software or what, but it makes it really difficult to use a usb mouse and another device. Overall, I'm not impressed with this particular laptop. I have good experience with Acer monitors, but not laptops. You might look into something more reliable like a Dell.

Does it have an included802.11b/g/n?

While it certainly has wireless, I can't guarantee the speed as being b, g or n class, nor is there any information supplied on any of the tabs that open from the task manager or in the device manager shy of a handshaking protocol (preamble) which calls out "b".  I believe it is at least a "g" standard or better.  Remember the farther away you are from your access point the slower it runs regardless of hardware capability.   The driver version I am using for this wireless is 10.0.0.274.  That might tell someone the native speed with the right information.

The biggest downside to this machine for me is the AC power plug fit.  It is a broken PC board connector in the waiting.  The other downside is the Win 7 version is HOME PREMIUM.  Means you can't run virtual machine on it to use it as an XP system.  Best thing about the laptop is the screen resolution and the total absence of Windows 8.  :)

Is this laptop light weight and is it thin???

If you are looking for something to frequently take with you, you should probably look for something with a smaller screen. It isn't extremely thin either. I use it as my main home computer and use my work laptop which is a lot smaller when I need to travel.

Anyone have a link for the manual for this laptop?  Does anyone know if it has an S-video port?

No, it doesn't have an S-video port.

Up the left side there are two USB 3, one HDMI, one VGA, one Ethernet, and the Kensington lock port.

Up the right side there are the headphone and microphone 1/8" jacks, one USB 2, the optical drive, and the power port.

The card reader and status lights are on the front.

No this acer  aspire does not have microsoft office .

But I love this computer.

One of the users complained that there is no recovery disc with this product. Is this true?

Its true there is no recovery disk. But there is a recovery partition and there is also the option to make recovery disks yourself. I suspect that many new laptops do not come with a recovery disk. But really, its easy enough to make your own and you will be prompted to do so if you do not in a certain amount of time.

Does this computer come with speakers? There is nothing in the specifications about speakers. Any idea what manufacture hard drive they are using.
