Question 1

The photo shows a keyboard and mouse.  Are they included?

Yes, they were both included.  The Acer keyboard is full size, but tightly arranged keys in a rectangular case.  I gave it to my granddaughter who has small hands, and it works fine.  I prefer my larger, more spread-out Microsoft keyboard, but that's just a preference.  The Acer keyboard works fine and so does the mouse.  I like this Acer computer very much!

Question 2

Does this computer have an SD/SDHC/MMC/MS port?   It's the port I use for uploading my pictures from my camera.   Thanks, Larry

The MOBO is OEM. I suspect that card will be too long to fit. I'll take some measurements and look at the connectors next time I have the case open which should be in the next couple days to install an SSD. Some of the Acers use a 12 pin connector to the board which makes upgrading the PSU impossible.

Question 3

what SATA standard is the HD interface? Will it do SATA2 or SATA3? This is to try to stuff in an SSD.

It supports SATA3 because I have the following drive from my previous computer connected to this ACER computer: 
"TSD-500ST Seagate 500GB Serial ATA HD 7200/16MB/SATA-6G" hard drive.

this machine has been running fine.

Technically speaking, yes. one with VGA, one with HDMI. but maybe that's what you are looking for.

I was wondering what the graphics card was and if i could play games with this at a decent frame rate.?

The on-board video is not acceptable for gaming, however I just put a factory card from another machine in it.

Make sure you get a low power card, or upgrade the power supply.  300w total is a pretty low bar to try and hit.

I use pc part picker's website when I need to find a part based on power consumption + other factors.

was wondering if this came with an fx card, or would a nvidia GT series fit in this?

It does not come with a dedicated graphics card. It has an integrated card with the i5-4440 processor (Intel HD 4600). You can Google search "can nvidia gt fit ub11" and the first two links talks about this: one from the Acer forum and the other on evga forum.

I haven't tried to play with it myself but it looks like it can be done, just not easily intuitive and you may have to play with the settings yourself to get it work.

I bought one of these on July 15. I have updated bios to ver. P11-A4 (build date 3/21/14) in hopes that it would help me get a Zotac NVidia GT-610 video card with dual DVI-out to work with this rig, but I have had no success, even after disabling 'security boot' in the bios. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get this add-in card to work, please?

I looked up the GT 610 GPU and it turns out that the Intel HD 4600 performs about twice as fast as the 610. I didn't want to ask you why you chose that card and wait for a response, and so I've decided that you probably chose that card for one of two reasons: You want the dual DVI output for your multimonitor setup that take DVI, OR you plan on running software that performs better with the Geforce instruction sets.

If the first reason is true, I recommend getting an HDMI to dual DVI adapter. These can be found with a simple Google search. This will give you better performance for most computing tasks.

If you insist on running that card in this machine, I recommend upgrading the PSU. The PSU that comes with this machine is 300 watts, but a lot of that is already spoken for because it's powering the CPU and the other components.

Because you have a Zotac card, I recommend considering the possibility of it being DOA. I stopped buying components from Zotac entirely because I was fed up with being sent DOA parts.

Can I get Windows 7 Professional installed instead of Widows 8?

As I understand it you can only downgrade to windows 7 if you have windows 8 pro.  So I do not believe you can get windows 7 without actually purchasing the license to downgrade it yourself.

Does this case have any open 5.25" drive bays for more hard drives?

It has no open 5.25" slots, but 5.25 is the DVD drive. It has one more slot available for a 3.5" drive, which most desktop hard drives are.

I will be pairing this computer with a radeon 6970 for gaming. i was wondering what PSU to buy as well as what PSU connections this board has.

Also, what Mobo is in this? i cant find that information.

It's a standard ATX style PSU with 24 pin connector to board. It looks like there's room to squeeze the 6970. You'll need to be careful not to disturb the wifi/bt card adjacent to the slot. It's very easy to detach the antenna wires.
