Once you order it you will get a code in which you redeem into Steam. You pay on newegg for code. You do not have to buy game in steam again

Paul, I recieved a seperate email from newegg with an access code. I believe I went to nvidia's website and they had a link for redeeming your code. It should be in the email. You enter your access code and along with some personal info and it should kick out a game key that you can use through ateam or other platforms. Hope this helps.

How do you actually use the code? I never received an email and there is no link in my order history. It just shows partial codes.

You should receive an email that says digital product delivery.  If you can't find it always check the spam folder or filter your mail to show important or starred email.  (Newegg will mark it as starred and important on a gmail account other services may have similar scenarios).  If you can't find it don't sweat it; the box will have a slip of paper on it or it will be on the invoice).  Next take that code to Geforce website (this is not yet a steam key).  On the site there will be a place to redeem it tor a steam key to be used on Steam.

So I ordered the gtx 780 last summer and got a code for the Pre-Sequel, which was on the box of the graphics card or in an email. I forget specifically but either way I don't have the box nor the email anymore, since I figured it would show up in my steam library. Any way to recover this code or am I out of luck?

I've had very good experience with Newegg's customer service on returns, just one so far but they were quite helpful. However, given that this is a game code, you may run into roadblocks and they may not be able to help you. It never hurts to ask though. :)

You redeem the code on the Nvidia website for a Steam code. The steam code automatically adds it to your library.

You get an email with redemption instructions, sends you to a Nvidia website that ends up giving you a Steam key.

New Egg E-Mails you a code with a link to a Nividia web site where you enter the code, then Nividia E-Mails you a code you enter at the steam web site where it is put in your game library.

The code can be attained August 15th.  I found this at the code redemption page for Borderlands on the Invidia site (I would give a link because it is a helpful page on all of this but Newegg won't let me).
