2 out of 5 eggsIt worked for about 2 monthes

Pros: It works when it does (Used it for my delta 120mm exhaust fan)

Cons: You have to plug the 4pin that came with the controller to your motherboard. This is a 4pin pass-through. You can't just plug the fan directly to the controller, you have to connect the controller itself to the motherboard as well. Since I had 3 case fan 4pin connectors on my mobo, I used one and it worked. After about 2-3 months of use, I woke up to my delta fan @ 100% (which is loud). I restarted, checked the hardware, even tried a different case fan port, and none of them worked. The LED light seems to work so I have no idea what happened. I ordered a new one hoping that this one will last longer.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks as Advertised

Pros: Works exactly as advertised
Connected my 2 3 pin case fans to the controller and plugged it into the motherboard
Motherboard fan control and manual fan control both work

Cons: I wish I could lower the fan speed more. Currently at the lowest speed possible it is not as slow as i would like.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Does what it's supposed to, powers up to 2 (3) or (4) pin fans, does so splendidly and installation was cake as expected.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: If all you need is a run of the mill fan controller, this will do the trick for you. keeps air roaring on through my system when I'm gaming and I can manually turn the fans down at night when my roomy is sleeping.

5 out of 5 eggsworks

Pros: easy to install, just what i needed

Cons: only hooks up 2 fans.
i didn't need more, but u might :)

Other Thoughts: upgraded mobo, kept case. New mobo isn't compatible with dell/nvidia ESA card (controls fan speeds). This was a good solution.

1 out of 5 eggsNonexistent Support

Pros: Worked as intended, PWM signal to voltage.

Cons: Bought 2, one burned out in less than 2 months running only 3 Yate Loon fans, which takes 16W at peak on start-up according by manufacturer specs (much less when measured via a DMM). Contacted support via email on Dec. 13, never got a reply.
Currently running on the backup, but have the desktop to shutdown on a certain temperature in case of failure.

2 out of 5 eggsStay away

Pros: None.

Cons: I bought four of these fan controllers last year and I've had issues with most of them since the purchase date. From the very start I didn't like these fan controllers. Their potentiometers are not reliable. In one of them cable got damaged just by the touch and I had to use a soldering iron to get connection. Today these controllers failed in one of my PCs and fans stopped working. Overheating in the case caused a video card failure ($100 value). I've ordered five Zalman fan controllers today to replace these junk controllers to avoid other serious failures in all of my PCs. I am still using one Zalman fan controller since I had Pentium 4 (almost a decade) and it still works. I would avoid Sunbeam controllers at any cost as this product causes problems with higher cost items.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat noise reducer

Pros: cheap. do a good job.
only use a single rear slot on your case thats most prob not being used anyway.
Can control 2 fans simultaneously with one unit.
Simple install.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: The fans in my HTPC case were fairly loud at full speed. Purchasing 2 of these allowed me to control the two fans that assist in keeping my stoarge drives cool and using the other to keep exhaust fans quiet and controlled.
If i want to or need to I can bump up the juice to either set with the twist of a knob.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,
We're glad that this product worked out so well for you. We hope you'll enjoy this item for many years to come.
We appreciate your review.
Thank you

1 out of 5 eggsJust what you need but .....

Pros: Just what a lot of people need to update an older CPU cooler fan to PWM control, in my case a Zalman 9700. Cant find any other similar product.

Cons: Doesnt work in PWM mode which is the only reason to buy this. Based on the Newegg reviews about 25% of these are DOA. Since I could not find another product with this functionality I took a chance to upgrade my $70 CPU cooler.

Other Thoughts: I Updated the case fans by buying the new PWM variety. Seems like someone could make money if they made a good PWM to voltage controller for about $20. This is not competing with $15 fans it is competing with $50 plus CPU cooler replacement.

4 out of 5 eggsSimple Fan Controller

Pros: Had a fan that came with a fan controller that i misplaced into one of the never ending boxes of parts and couldn't find it. Needed a replacement.
This works as advertised although the little board inside gets hot to the touch.

Very easy to install.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: None
