Add some color and quiet cooling to your desktop PC with the Apevia CF4S-UBL 80mm blue UV-reactive case fan. Spinning at a low 22.05dBA at 2,000rpm, the fan can be used to pull cool air into your system or push hot air out. Either way, the result is a lower overall operating temperature with very little added noise.

Apevia used blue UV-reactive plastic that glows brilliantly when an ultraviolet light is shined on it adding a splash of color to your case's interior and is a perfect addition if you have a clear side panel. Simply install the fan, connect it to your power supply's standard 4-pin connector and it's ready to go.

  • newegg High Performance Operating at 2000 RPM, the APEVIA CF4S-UBL delivers an air flow of up to 25.64 CFM for impressive levels of heat dissipation.
  • newegg Extra Quiet The sleeve bearing APEVIA CF4S-UBL works at a whisper-quiet 22.05 dBA.

5 out of 5 eggsLeast expensive

Pros: 5 eggs are for value. The fans work just fine in htpc.

Cons: Feel is, well, as the price suggests. Very light.

Other Thoughts: I don't hear them running but my ears are old!

1 out of 5 eggs4 out of 6 fans physically broke within 6 months

Pros: -Cheap
-Interesting translucent plastic

Cons: Fan blade splits in half due to oversized fan magnet ring.
Fan magnet ring slowly shifts away from optimum position for max RPM.
Difficult to fasten screws due to undersized screw holes.

Other Thoughts: Not sure if this model had structural flaws in the past but it seems that the batch from which I bought had severe problems.
Manufacturer needs to QC plastic molding and improve their poorly designed fans.
We were sold fans that were prone to high failure.

5 out of 5 eggsfan

Pros: Fan that works

Cons: not free

Other Thoughts: It works, dont know why people expect 25 cfm to blow tons of air, but I got it for a temp solution to a video card fan while I wait on a new fan from the company.

4 out of 5 eggsNearly Silent but Weak

Pros: + Nearly Silent, which says something for a fan smaller than 120mm
+ Has airflow arrows. You'd be surprised how annoying fans can be in this respect.

Cons: - Moderately low airflow for the size. You can barely feel it to touch but when you place a piece of paper it's a decent flow.

- Only molex connections. No airflow control but that's to be expected at this price.

Other Thoughts: 80mm fans by their nature don't push a lot of air, especially nearly silent ones going full speed.

This fan will help aid air flow, it's particularly useful if your case has a fan position above the CPU cooler. The flow is strong enough to help but not too strong to create turbulence and disturb airflow.

As an exhaust fan, I'd avoid this one.

4 out of 5 eggsIt FANS!

Pros: 4 Pin Molex - I was out of motherboard plugs and had these useless Molex power leads from the PSU.....
Standard fan, comes with 4 screws, its clear blue.
Moves air. Looks cooler than a black fan and not annoying like an LED fan. Price is good!

Cons: Was kinda worried about the packaging, but it was wrapped in bubble wrap. I wonder how they come from the vendor in Asia, maybe thats why some people say these don't work well.

Other Thoughts: These move air for me just fine. I would of course test each one since some people claim to have had problems.
4 Eggs because this was exactly what I needed - it only lost an egg because to me, 5 eggs would indicate the ultimate fan experience, and that would be one of those kind of things that you will only know when you see or feel it....and I have yet to have this ultimate fan experience. But when I do....there will be 5 eggs.
