5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: - Does what it says
- Easy to Use

I got 2 x 2400RPM 120mm fans that are loud as the dickens when on max. This fan controller makes them useable!

Cons: - Does not set fan speed based on temperature (nor does it say it does in the features)

Other Thoughts: I was going to write a nasty review because I thought the fan controller didn't work. One thing not mentioned in the instruction manual is that the fan controller wont work without a corresponding thermometer plugged in. This is not a big deal but if you weren't using all the thermometers before, the fans will mysteriously not spin down. I gather this must be a safety feature.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far it really neat!!!

Pros: Easy install if you can handle routing cables and temp probes. Slide it in , hook up the fans you want, stick the probes where you want and go. Haven't had any problems yet with it and really enjoy the convenience of being able to quiet down my system while cruzing the internet. Of course it comes in handy when I play games like Crysis3 and Bioshock infinite. Being able to jack my fans up on my water cooling system is a wonderful ability. No LED problems of fan misreading yet. Guess I hooked it up right. just have to take your time and think before you hook something like this up. It is most defiantly NOT a PLUG AND PLAY.

Cons: Instructions were sketchy at best. Not for the faint of heart I'm sure. This is a thinking man(or woman's) fan controller.

Other Thoughts: I had fun hooking this up, but since I work night shift my weekends are filled with modding my computer and playing Crysis3 and Bioshock Infinite. This is a mid level fan controller. Not as fancy as some but not as basic as others. If you take your time and think a little you will have a wonderful device to assist you. If not, good luck with your RMA

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: So far so good with this one. Looks cool, does what it's supposed to and simple to operate.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Note that with just about any fan controller, you will get a lot of wires to work with. I manage to hide the wires pretty well though. Only visible if you look for them.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works as described.

Cons: Fans not thermally controlled. Fans run at a static speed of your choosing. Would have liked to be able to select a target temp for the controller to attempt to maintain by adjusting fan speed.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Does everything that would be expected. Very well constructed. Everything seems to be working well about it. Tells you fan speed and the voltage going to each fan. Alarms and sensers work real well

Cons: Only con seems to be the wiring is kinda short for larger full size towers.

Tape provided seems to turn loose of chrome plated parts

Other Thoughts: Does the job nicely and if you're looking to jazz up the front of your computer it does a real good job of it without turning the front of your case into a giant glowing disco ball

4 out of 5 eggsdecent for overall monitoring

Pros: -5 different temp sensors - more than most normal builds need.
-affordable price
-easy to install

Cons: - no way to adjust handicaps on temps to get more accurate reads
- 3 pin fan plugs... my box uses 4 pin for everything except the CPU fan
- alarm isn't very loud

Other Thoughts: Great way to track temp changes, but only by degrees, not accurate enough to ensure the box won't overheat. I only use it to monitor my temp changes when using different apps or games.

3 out of 5 eggsupdate to earlier post

Pros: Simple setup, can remove sensors and cable connecters that aren't used, comes with spare sensors.

Cons: Stopped remembering fan and temperature settings after one week. Now, fans start at full power and all temperature alarms reset to 70 deg. 1 out of 3 power ups retain settings. LCD configured to be viewed with computer on floor. If you have it up on your desk and look directly at it... it is slightly harder to see. The alarm sound is very quiet, you have to be sitting at your desk to hear it. The speaker is soldered to the board, I don't think I can replace it with a louder buzzer.

Other Thoughts: Too much work to rip all the wires and and cables out for RMA back to Newegg. Temperature sensors and fan controllers still working, just doesn't keep fan settings or alarm settings on power down. Wish I could just replace a battery.

4 out of 5 eggsAeroCool...

Pros: Only takes a single bay, bright LCD screen when viewed straight on, seems to remember my settings with each reboot, easy to configure for novices like me...

Cons: Cable routing nightmare behind the controller, cables should be sleeved, see other toughts...

Other Thoughts: Aside from my CPU fan header, my mother board does not "smartly" control fans that are plugged into it and just runs them at FULL speed... Enter the X-Vision... It worked for all my needs right out of the box. I do have problems with it... Like the other reviewers mentioned, the LCD screen is bright but has a limited viewing angle (on mine in the top bay of an Antec 900 on the floor – I can barely read it) and only fans connected to ports 2-5 can be set for “off” until a temperature value is reached. I do wish it would not display "0000" for temps or fans that aren’t plugged into those ports. Be aware that although it has a warning alarm (noticeable), its warning criteria are only for the temperature probes and not the fan rpm’s.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice!

Pros: Works as advertised. Simple setup, can remove sensors and cable connecters that aren't used, comes with spare sensors.

Cons: LCD configured to be viewed with computer on floor. If you have it up on your desk and look directly at it... it is slightly harder to see. The alarm sound is very quiet, you have to be sitting at your desk to hear it. The speaker is soldered to the board, I don't think I can replace it with a louder buzzer.

Other Thoughts: Very happy with the product, we'll see how it holds up over time. Of course, not built like a video card or hard drive, but it works. I was worried the thing would get hot, but after running it with two fans at max and two fans off all day, the resisters and board remained cool to touch.

5 out of 5 eggsI like it!

Pros: What I really like is X-Vison's fan shutoff. I thought each fan would stay spinning at a low RPM. Nope. Awesome! I wish port 1 can be shutoff, but I realize it was meant to be connected to the CPU fan. I am using the Shark fans as optional case fans to cool my video card (not for CPU). Very good airflow on the Shark fans. Currently I am only using port 2 & port 3 for the "fan shutoff" feature. I will use ports 4, 5, 1 as needed.

Cons: no AeroCool stickers included. I would be happy to stick them on my case & represent.

Other Thoughts: I'm using AeroCool Shark fans because i originally bought Scythe Gentle Typhoon 3000 RPM fans, but they did not have 3 physical wires connected to the 3 pin connector... meaning the GT's constantly spins at max RPM. Shark's max RPM is 1500, but i do not regret buying them. I am very impressed at the airflow & they're quiet & yes, pretty! Plus I already have an Antec 1200 case which has super air-cooling as it is. Thank you Alex P@AeroCool customer service for your time and expertise.
